Ashley learns a shocking truth about her dinner date! Suspicious Bridget has her fears confirmed!
At Nick's house, Bridget listens at the door as Katie cries and Nick consoles her. Bridget comes inside and asks, "Katie? Nick? My goodness, what's going on here?!" When Bridget notes that they were in one another's arms, Katie bluffs that she was telling Nick that she doesn't think she should babysit for Jack anymore - she's getting too involved, too attached! Bridget scoffs, "You came all the way over here to tell Nick you don't want to babysit? I feel like I'm missing something here!" Nick assures her there is nothing going on. Bridget then says she came back because she had more to say to him. She says she loves him and wants to take it slowly, but she really believes that the right things are going to happen this time. She notes that this time, she's not afraid to compete with anyone! Nick tells her he does love her. She then tells Nick that maybe they can have that family that they should have had! "I want that back!" Katie stands by uncomfortably. Bridget apologizes for coming on too strong and notes that they all make mistakes! Bridget then reminds Nick that she can provide stability for him and the baby. Suddenly, Jack cries and Bridget goes to him. Katie then tells Nick she is sure Bridget is suspicious - she's acting strangely! She swears that as soon as Bridget comes downstairs she is telling her the truth! Nick reminds Katie that the truth is - she kissed him! As Nick tries to calm Katie down, Bridget quietly comes back down the stairs, listening to Katie lament that she can't live with herself. Bridget announces that Jack has gone back to sleep and asks Katie if she is alright. Nick takes a call from Jackie, who needs his help. After he steps outside, Bridget angrily demands that Katie tell her exactly what is going on! "And don't even think about lying!" Katie blurts out that she kissed Nick! "I'm sorry!" Bridget is flabbergasted. "Well do you have feelings for him? I need to know! I need to know the truth right now!" Katie looks ill.
At the office, Ridge tells Brooke he is very concerned about the effect on Phoebe if she finds out what Taylor is doing with Rick. Brooke tells him not to worry - she's going to deal with Taylor! When Ridge notes that he's not sure that's such a good idea, Brooke says, "Speaking of things that aren't a good idea..." Brooke then confronts Ridge about firing Storm and barring him from the building. Ridge asks her if she is so sure Storm is fine, why was she afraid to tell him that the woman Storm had lunch with was Ashley! Brooke says she didn't think it was a big deal! Ridge then goes running off to warn Ashley!
Storm and Ashley are having dinner together when she jokingly asks him about having skeletons in his closet! Storm then confides that a while ago he did something scandalous, something people would be shocked to find out. He then jokingly admits that when he asked her out to lunch, the meeting he needed to have with her was fictitious. Ashley is charmed. When Storm leaves the table to pay the bill, Ridge sits down with her and informs her that she can't be with Storm. A skeptical Ashley asks him what he is talking about! Ridge then tells her that he fired Storm, and that Storm is the one who shot his mother! She asks why he's not in jail, if that's the case! Ridge says it's a long story, but suggests she end things with Storm without letting him know Ridge has told her the truth. Ashley agrees. Meanwhile, Storm is watching the conversation taking place from behind a post. When Ridge leaves, Storm glowers from his hiding spot! He stops Ridge on his way out and asks what he said to Ashley. Ridge downplays his conversation with Ash, but reminds Storm he told him to stay away from his loved ones! Storm returns to the table, and Ridge thinks to himself, "You're in danger, Ashley. Grave danger!"
