Rick's In the Right Arena, but the Wrong Seat!

Thursday, March 27 2008
Rick is confused by a letter. Taylor confides in James about her real feelings. Donna's woes continue.

Rick walks into Brooke's office and informs his mother that she got her wish - Taylor told him nothing can ever come of their relationship. Brooke says she never wanted to see him hurt, but Rick interrupts and tells her he blames it all on outside influences like Ridge! He informs her that he has no intention of giving up - he's going to keep on trying until Taylor gives in because they have something special! Brooke defends her instinct to protect him, but Rick retorts that she needs to let go! He wants Brooke's approval of his relationship with Taylor, but Brooke won't give it. Rick points out that she has never approved of any relationship he's had. Brooke contends that a relationship with Taylor is just a recipe for disaster. Rick sighs that they will just have to agree to disagree. He tells his mother he loves her, but asks her to stop dwelling on this. She says he'll always be her little boy and leaves the room. Rick takes out his phone and leaves Taylor a voice mail message telling her that he misses her and wants an opportunity to change her mind about a future with him. "I love you." Rick replays the previous evening in his mind and whispers that he won't give up on Taylor!

Taylor welcomes James into her home and tells him that this may sound off the wall, but she thinks she may have fallen in love with Brooke's son, Rick! James is stunned! James asks about Phoebe. Taylor tells James that Phoebe was the one who ended the relationship with Rick... James wonders if that reasoning means she has decided to move forward with this relationship. Taylor says she is undecided - she explains how close her and Rick have gotten. James questions why she ended it with him last night. Taylor says she didn't want to hurt Rick and explains that she has written a letter to Rick to help him understand how she feels. She says it was the best way to say the things she needs to say to him. James agrees it is a good idea, but is taken aback when Taylor remarks that she just hopes it's not too late!

Donna turns up at Forrester Creations with a black cloak over her head and dark glasses on. Pam offers her an 'overdone' pastry, but Donna just ducks into Katie's office. Brooke and Katie are inside and Donna reveals her overcooked look. Brooke tries to reassure her that in a few days it will fade. Donna smiles a little, saying that she does have a hair appointment and maybe that will make her feel better! Katie reminds her about the shoot she's got coming up, but Donna says she simply can't do it - she'll be the laughing stock of the fashion industry! Outside the door, Eric arrives and asks Pam if she has seen Donna. Pam tells him she is in the office with the other "Hogan" sisters. Eric enters the office and asks if Donna is ready for the interview with Jarrett. Donna says she doesn't think she can do it, but Eric assures her that there will be no photographer. Outside, Jarrett arrives and Pam informs him that his photographer won't be necessary today - he'll soon see why! Inside the office, Eric fills Jarrett in on what happened to Donna and asks him to refrain from commenting when he sees her. Jarrett agrees, but when he lays eyes on Donna he gasps, "Oh dear God!"

Outside the office, Rick runs into Pam who gives him a letter that came for him. The letter is from someone who says she has re-evaluated their relationship and in spite of the age difference, she wants to give it a shot. The letter then invites him to come over for the night of his life! It's signed "Me." He is thrilled to think that Taylor has come to her senses! He heads straight over to Taylor's house and is completely unprepared when Phoebe answers the door and embraces him saying, "I see you got my letter."

Jarrett continues to interview Donna and Eric. Donna admits that they are still waiting for Eric's divorce to become final before they can wed. Jarrett comments that there has been a lot of controversy in the press about that! Just then, Raphael, Donna's hair stylist arrives and as Pam lets him into the office and introductions are made, Pam sets her sights on sabotaging Raphael's supplies in order to cause Donna more misery! Donna, meanwhile, thanks Raphael for coming and explains the tanning debacle. He suggests they darken her hair down a bit to lessen the contrast with her skin. She agrees. Donna tells him that she is going to put on her teeth whitening molds while he does her hair, and so she does. Later, Brooke and Katie laugh in another office about Donna's misadventure, while Raphael chats with Pam about possibly going red. When he goes back in to check on Donna's hair, his face becomes a mask of dismay. Outside the office, Pam grins as she hears Donna shriek!
