Katie's in town for the big wedding; Andy gets a shocking finale; Ridge and Brooke make promises; Thorne gives Stephanie an ultimatum; Rick is moving on.

We’re back in the action on the rooftop with Andy and Ridge. Andy is brandishing an electrified antenna at Ridge, and Ridge is clearly frightened, at least in part because Andy doesn’t seem to have the best grip on reality. Andy dangles Brooke’s house key in front of Ridge again, taunting him. But, scared or not, Ridge is determined to get answers. “Who helped you get that key?” he demands, but Andy just laughs maniacally. “Maybe a little birdie told me,” he teases, and then begins talking baby-talk to a pigeon perched on a ledge nearby.

At Donna’s house, Donna opens the front door and finds her sister Katie! Katie’s in town for Donna’s wedding, and Donna couldn’t be happier to have her. It’s a warm greeting between the two of them as Donna ushers Katie inside. Katie’s surprised that Donna wants to marry Thorne after everything Stephanie has put Brooke through, but Donna waves it off. Donna catches Katie up on the latest sordid details of the Forrester/Logan feud. All this talk of hate and revenge has Katie wondering. “You do love Thorne, right? You’re not just doing this to get back at Stephanie…?” she questions. Donna insists it’s all about love, but as they toast and embrace, Donna gives a sinister look over Katie’s shoulder.
Stephanie is barking orders on the telephone as Thorne tries to discreetly sneak out of the office so he won’t have to be alone with her. But she hangs up and sees him, wants to talk. He tells her he’s not in the mood to hear Donna-bashing, so if that’s all she’s going to do, she can save her breath. Stephanie tries to be a sympathetic mother, saying she understands that he’s lonely since losing Darla, but hooking up with Donna is not going to help. “You do not love Donna the way you loved your wife,” Stephanie insists. Thorne wants no part of this conversation and he tells Stephanie that Donna makes him happy. Then he gives Stephanie an unspoken ultimatum – either accept Donna as his wife or he’s done with his mother for good.

Back on the roof, Ridge demands once again to know who helped Andy and just as Andy is about to spill his guts, a guard bursts through the door onto the rooftop. The pigeons are surprised and fly into Andy’s face. He drops the keys, stumbles, and falls antenna-first into a transformer box. Electricity arcs everywhere and sparks fly. Andy’s toast, taking the secret of who helped him get to Brooke with him to the grave.

In the lab, Ashley is on the phone leaving a warm, flirty message for Ridge. Rick stops in with some new fragrance display mockups. Ashley’s surprised to see him – she figures he would have been spending the day with Phoebe, making up for lost time. He tells her that Phoebe had changed her mind about them…again. “Phoebe dumped me, for good this time.” Rick pours his heart out to Ashley, saying he’s confused, doesn’t understand what happened between him and Phoebe because of how quickly she turned around on him, but something’s different about Rick. He doesn’t seem as heartsick about the breakup as he was before. He seems to have accepted it and moved on.

Brooke is staring out the door into the darkness, wondering where Ridge is. Bridget is worried about Ridge, too, since Andy is such a violent man. The two chat and Brooke voices suspicions – how did Andy know so many details of her life?!

Ridge shows up at Brooke’s house, hugs Bridget. Bridget is happy to see him but right away gives him a little lecture about letting his mother bully him into signing the custody papers. Ridge apologizes and Bridget lets it go. Brooke comes downstairs and hugs Ridge, asks about Andy. Ridge asks Bridget to leave the room and sits Brooke down. He tells her the whole story. “Andy is not going to be a threat to you anymore,” he says. “He’s dead.” Brooke looks shocked. To add to her dismay, Ridge reveals that Andy had an accomplice. “What sick and malicious person would do something like that?” Brooke asks.

Stephanie shows up at Donna’s house and gets Katie instead. They immediately begin slinging insults at one another, although Katie seems a little taken aback by how nasty Stephanie is. Stephanie insists there won’t be a wedding, trying to get Katie’s hackles up. Not one to be baited, Katie slaps right back with a wisecrack. Stephanie gets right in Katie’s face. “Don’t be a wisenheimer with me, tootsie, or you’ll regret it. I would’ve thought that would be one lesson your sisters would have taught you,” Stephanie warns. Stephanie tells Katie that Donna is using Thorne while he’s vulnerable so she can stick it to her, but Katie’s not buying into that story. She advises Stephanie, “If you were any kind of mother to your son, you would welcome the woman that he loves into your family.”

Back at Brooke’s house, Ridge is still telling Brooke about everything Andy had said before he died. Brooke surmises that Andy must have been stalking her for a while. Ridge comforts Brooke, reminding her that Andy’s not a problem anymore and instead they need to focus on finding out who helped him. Holding Brooke close, Ridge says he’s going to get Hope and R.J. back to her, “where they belong.” He asks for Brooke’s forgiveness about the custody papers. She says she’s already forgiven him. Things get very tender between the two of them. “I have never ever stopped caring,” Ridge says. “I know who you are and I love who you are.” They promise to never become distanced from one another again. “I’ll always, always be on your side no matter what,” Ridge says. They kiss, a tender kiss that might have looked like there was the tiniest bit of something more than friendship behind it...

Ashley and Rick are still hashing things out in the lab. Ashley tells Rick that when she saw how determined he was to get Phoebe back, she had come to the conclusion that Rick and Phoebe were meant to be together. Rick says it’s not going to happen and that he plans to throw himself into his work now. He asks if she’s still with Ridge. She says yes and he says he’s glad she’s happy. She gets back to work, but Rick’s mind is anywhere but on fragrance campaigns. Instead, he’s watching Ashley closely, remembering hot details of making love to her. He snaps back to reality, flustered and flushed. Phoebe is clearly a thing of the past, but is Ashley a thing of Rick’s future…?
