While other things happened, the biggest events this week were Ann returning and Sandy and Whip's connection.
Sandy
I'm very intrigued by this character, especially since I don't know where this story is going. I like that so far it's not cliché, where Sandy is obsessed with Nick and wants Bridget out of the picture. After pulling her hand away from his and asking him to stand behind the curtain while she was implanted, it seems Sandy doesn’t want anything to do with Nick. It was interesting that she basically clung to Bridget during the procedure.
We also found out she and Whip are cousins, but she doesn’t want anyone to know. I have to say I'm a little disappointed they are related, as I was hoping for a romantic pairing between the two. I enjoyed the actors' chemistry, as twisted as it was, on General Hospital and was hoping to have it explored further on B&B. Oh well, I can't have everything.
One more point I'd like to make about Sandy is how great I think Sarah Brown is doing in the role. She was still playing Claudia on General Hospital when she started playing Sandy and the characters aired just one day apart from each other, but she managed to portray a completely different person in Sandy, with absolutely no trace of Claudia. Creating such different characters is tough enough for some actors, let alone when they overlap like that. Kudos!

Her appearance in town is certainly shaking things up for her daughters, Pam and Stephanie, and I'm looking forward to the soul searching it will bring the women on the show. The all female angle they are using for two of the episodes surrounding Ann is interesting. Friday was one of them, with the other to follow next week. I like the idea of using an all female cast, including the extras, but what stuck out for me the most on Friday was the tone of the show. It felt really different to me, including the lighting and camera angles they used. I hope they include more of the female cast in the next one we'll be treated to, which is supposed to be on Monday, but according to the teasers from B&B, it might be Tuesday. So just stay tuned I guess. That episode is supposed to be about 'mothers, daughters and sisters', so I hope they include some Brooke and Bridget bonding in there, as well.
Bill and Katie
I'm so glad nothing ruined their wedding or reception, not even Steffy who kissed Bill right before the nuptials. It's nice to see them get to be happy, but what's with him missing his necklace? Will that lead to Katie finding out about the kiss somehow? If so, I hope a big deal isn't made out of it and that the writers give this couple something fun to do together, allowing them to be a happily married couple for awhile.
Nick and Bridget
Speaking of the happy event, why weren’t Bridget and Nick at Katie and Bill’s wedding, or at least the reception? Katie went to theirs, so it can’t be because of some weird tension - there isn’t any anymore. I would think they could take the time out of their surrogacy process to support Katie's happiness. They could have at least mentioned it. Mostly, I really just want Bridget to fill her mother and father in on their baby plans. Right now it’s like they live in two separate towns and know nothing about what’s going on in each other’s lives.
Rick
Poor guy. He only gets brought out for a brief scene at the reception, because apparently his character is working in Paris. I wonder if they will ever give him something to do again.
So, that's it for me this week. What did you think? Feel free to share your thoughts below!
