It was a short week, but quite a bit happened: Brooke and Ridge got married, Rick made peace with Ridge and Thomas, Owen and Jackie reunited and Jackie dropped yet another bomb on Owen.
I was annoyed to see Stephanie walk in on Brooke for the umpteenth time in her lingerie, but their conversation over tequila that ensued was pretty enjoyable. They didn’t argue, but civilly, yet snarkily discussed Ridge, Taylor and their past. I loved Stephanie saying she spent the last twenty years building a great foundation for a strong opposition to everything Brooke stands for, when Brooke suggested they make a fresh start. Classic.
Brooke then went to meet Ridge at city hall where they made things official. There was no pomp and circumstance; they just handed in some papers and they were married. Of course, Brooke and Ridge still wanted to hear the words so they badgered the poor man behind the counter to pronounce them husband and wife and for him to say, “You may now kiss the bride.” It was a cute scene, especially when they showed him their photos from all their past weddings. They certainly didn’t need another showy ceremony, so their low-key affair was perfect.
My only question is, now that Brooke has Ridge back, does she no longer feel the need to spend time in Paris with her mother who is losing her memory? She pretty much just threw Beth to the side once Ridge decided she was the woman for him. Maybe she’ll go to Paris later and visit before Beth no longer remembers her.
Rick finally made an appearance and made peace with Ridge and Thomas. It was good to see them finally put all their animosity behind them, but what will happen to Rick now? Will he have a storyline, or will he only pop up periodically like Clarke?

I wonder if Steffy and Owen will become more than friends. I enjoyed their conversation at the coffeehouse and would like to see more of their friendship, but I don’t think I want it to go any further. But in soaps, it’s pretty rare for men and women to interact so much and remain just friends. I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
As for Owen and Jackie, I have to believe Owen would have heard about her scandalous past by now. Even if he wasn’t paying attention when it actually happened, once he hit the fashion world and Jackie M, I’m sure he would have stumbled across that piece of juicy information either from overhearing gossip, by actually going on the Internet himself, or from a journalist who would have referenced it in a story about Jackie M in a publication, like, say, Eye on Fashion.
There has been no Bill and Katie for two weeks now and I am not happy! Next week better make up for it.
Speaking of next week, Justin Barber hits the scene! If you don’t want to know who he is, stop reading right now. If you already know or want to know then it’s safe for me to say I’m looking forward to seeing how it all plays out with him being Marcus’ father and if there will be chemistry between him and Donna. Whatever happens, I’m just happy to see another new face on the canvas, as long as he doesn’t take away from other relative newbies, Bill and Whip, that is.
That’s it for me this week. What did you think? Feel free to share your thoughts on B&B below.
