Turning the tables! (Soaps.com)
B&B Breakdown for June 1 - 5!

I’m not entirely sure I buy Eric risking his company and going to jail so he could hire illegal workers, but I think it was a decent wrinkle in the story and it gave us some new dialogue for a change. Stephanie of course tricked Bill and they got the upper hand, but why weren’t Ridge and Rick, who are the CEO and President of Forrester Creations, clued in to what was happening at the company? Thorne and Felicia were brought in and updated, but not the upper echelon?

I laughed when Eric said he had been investigated before for hiring illegal workers and had been cleared, but Bill figured it out and found proof in like five minutes! Just how incompetent were those federal investigators? Maybe they should hire Bill and Jarrett to work for them.

I’m not really understanding what Bill’s motivation is to acquire FC. Does he hold a grudge against Eric for something? I certainly hope they further explain it. And what about Donna? He met her once and decided he must jump in the sack with her? I really hope there is more to it than just him wanting her, because I doubt a businessman of his caliber would give up his long pursued deal just to sleep with Donna Logan, even if honey was involved.

Shacking up! (Soaps.com)
I do have to commend Donna for not sleeping with Bill, or rather, the writers for not going down that predictable path. We’ve already seen Donna tempted by someone else with Owen, so I’m happy they didn’t go down that road again and allowed her act like a faithful wife, instead of stereotypically using sex to help her husband out. Enough fans already see her as a floozy.

Owen and Jackie moving in together is way too fast for me, which makes me think Owen might just be playing her. Although, I was impressed by how honest he was when he admitted his love of her money and how he could be conning her or he could not, either way, he would be saying the same complimentary things to her. I kind of enjoyed that and thought it made him seem more realistic or genuine or something. I’m glad Jackie is having so much fun and appreciating Owen in her life, but I fear for her. Time will tell what the true story is. I hope.

Aside from Friday, this week was largely Ridge/Brooke/Steffy/Rick free and I enjoyed every minute of it. Their storylines are just too exhausting for me and the dialogue is just so repetitive. This week was a much-needed break from them, especially since according to the spoilers, next week will go back to focusing on those characters.

Speaking of spoilers, I don’t see much in the way of Bill, which concerns me. He has given this show a much-needed jolt and I hope that now that his plan has been foiled, they don’t leave him to wade around in the background with Rocco and Jake.

That’s it for me this week. What did you think? Feel free to agree or disagree with me below, just remember it’s all in good fun!

For the most part ITA. However, we shouldn't have to wonder where was Rick and Ridge in the middle of the FC crisis. Where else would those self-indulgent execs be - doing what they do best - crawling under each other's skin.

As for Eric being investigated by the INS, if I remembered correctly, they made it seem like an isolated incident back then. If that can of worms opens again, then Eric won't get off so easily. Then again, Stephanie pointed out the very obvious today, that they are well respected and loved on the west coast. You know money talks and bulls*** walks.

As for Donna and her honey bear, I was waiting to see how this one would play out because she did not give in to Owen whom she was sort of intimate with. How was she going to give in to Bill, who is blackmailing the man she loves.

As for Jackie and Owen, I know Jackie is kind of like taking it one day at a time. She is a smart, matured woman and it's gonna take a hell of a lot for Owen to pull the wool over her eyes.

Overall, it was a good week even though the message boards was not as heated and active as it normally is. Next week will be different with the whinners back.

michaelee, I remember that storyline. If I remember correctly it had to do with Thorne and a woman he liked.
