Rick Hearst Joins the Cast of The Bold and the Beautiful!

Monday, May 11 2009

Rick Hearst (ABC)
First came word that Don Diamont (ex-Brad, The Young and the Restless) is coming to B&B and now, another soap vet is joining the cast!

It is being reported that Rick Hearst (Ric, General Hospital) will be reprising his role of Whipple “Whip” Jones III, whom he played from February – August 2002. Word is Stephanie will bring Brooke’s ex-husband back to town in order to run a Jackie M PR campaign, but could she have more in mind for him?

For those of you who don’t remember, Whip worked at Forrester Creations as a promotions manager and married Brooke in order to help her cover up the fact that she was having an affair with and pregnant by her daughter’s husband Deacon. Whip divorced Brooke and went to work at Forrester International after Bridget discovered the truth.

As for the actor, Rick Hearst has also played Scotty Banning on Days of Our Lives, Alan-Michael Spaulding on Guiding Light, Matt Clark on Y&R and most recently, Ric Lansing on GH. Hearst was recently bumped to recurring status on GH. His first airdate in the contract role of Whip Jones is tentatively scheduled for July 17.

Soaps.com congratulates Rick Hearst on his return to B&B and can’t wait to see what his character’s return will mean for all those involved!

Good for him. Maybe Bold and the beatiful will give him the kind of story he deserves. He should be glad GH let him go because they are sinking the storylines over there are terrible. I used to love GH but now i can watch a whole weeks worth in less than a hour. Maybe the writers should listento the fans. Good Luck Rick Hearst on the show.

It's can be nice but if Stephanie thinks that Whip can separate Brooke and Ridge, she mistaken because Brooke never loved Whip.

Congratulations, Rick!
Welcome back to the show. I watched you on DOOL, GL and Y&R. Love your acting and cannot wait to see what your storyline will be.

B&B has been needing more male actors for a long time.
I am thrilled that you are one of them.

You are a real HUNK and sexy to boot!
Sincerely,
Carol

Yea! Can't wait to see Rick on B&B. He is a superb actor and handled all the absurd and convoluted situations GH threw at him. I thought he should have won the Emmy each year he was there! Not sure why GH let him go down to recurring status. He brought up the caliber of everyone's acting in many scenes on GH. Hope B&B keeps him around and onscreen for quite a while!

I am glad that Rick is back on B&B. GH has been a sinking ship for the last couple of years.
SGM1669, IA with you about watching GH.
I look forward to watching Rick on B&B.

I'm just happy they're exspanding the cast! more men for brooke, dumma and bridget to get with wouldnt it be funny if Brooke ended up with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont)? Hmmmm...but i bet it will be Dumma.

Wasn't this the guy who dressed up in female lingerie to appeal to Brooke???

It will be amazing to see him as 'simple' Whip again, after seeing him play the ever-conflicted Ric Lansing on GH.
