In bed, Brooke tells Ridge she wants Rick to be at their rehearsal dinner and wedding, but Ridge says Rick is not welcome. Brooke thinks she can talk to her son, but Ridge doesn’t think it will do any good. Ridge gets a call from Phoebe who tells Ridge she’s home. Ridge is thrilled and asks to come visit her at Taylor’s. He hangs up and Brooke notes that all of Ridge’s children will be joining the celebration. Ridge retorts that his kids aren’t trying to break them up. Brooke still wants her son to be there and Ridge relents telling Brooke to go work her magic on Rick and Brooke thanks him.
Ridge welcomes Phoebe home at Taylor’s house and tells her she can’t be gone that long ever again. Ridge notices she’s wearing the barrette he gave her from Sydney and Phoebe says she wears it all the time and thinks about him. She understands now that he was only trying to protect her then and she appreciates it. She tells her father she wrote a song for him and offers to sing it at the rehearsal dinner. They talk about how much they miss each other and Taylor returns to the room with tea and hears them talking about the wedding. Phoebe says she will unpack so they can talk.
Phoebe exits the room and Taylor asks why Ridge stopped by, saying she overheard something about a wedding. Ridge tells Doc the wedding is tomorrow. Taylor sadly congratulates him and says she had hoped things would be different. Ridge asks if she can let it go and move on. Taylor responds that she can if he promises her to help bring some stability to the family, especially since Phoebe is home. She knows there isn’t a chance for them, but she asks him to come over sometimes and hang out with the kids. He says, “Done.” Taylor wonders if Brooke will take issue with it, but Ridge assures her Brooke will be fine. Taylor promises she will move on and they hug. Ridge asks her to come to the wedding and Taylor says no. Ridge tells her he will always love her.
Ridge and Felicia come to the house looking for Stephanie and find that she’s not there. Felicia tells Ridge he needs to talk to Eric for their mother’s sake.
Ridge, Felicia and Thorne enter Eric’s office and learn that Eric chose Stephanie. Eric says he will never forget what it was like to open his eyes and see them all there. He almost forgot what was important to him and he thanks Stephanie. Ridge notes that it’s great to see them happy together again. Thorne privately asks Eric if he feels good about this and Eric says he’s okay about it. He knows the truth about Donna now and he never wants to talk about it again.
Brooke asks Ridge if he’s come up with a venue for their wedding and Ridge is a bit distracted, but says he’s on it. Ridge is more concerned about Eric’s big decision he’s about to make between Stephanie and Donna. Brooke says they are on opposite sides of most family issues, but they can agree to disagree. Ridge notes they are like congress and in the spirit of reaching across the aisle, he kisses her. Ridge says he has an idea for a venue and suggests they get married at the beach again. Brooke loves it and offers her own idea – a grand, red carpet rehearsal dinner. Ridge says she’s making it sound like her first wedding again and Brooke says it sort of is and it will be her last. Ridge says he loves her and can’t wait to make her his wife because this time it’s forever. They talk more about their wedding and their love for each other and fall back on the bed kissing.
Brooke and Ridge bask in their post sushi buffet glow. Brooke tells him his touch is her safe place and he is her happily ever after. She wants to know what they’re waiting for on their wedding and states they don’t need anyone’s permission. Ridge says, “No Ma’am,” and kisses her. Ridge and Brooke put robes on and talk about their wedding. Brooke doesn’t want to wait because they know what they have is right between them. They discuss their past and Brooke says they never would have walked away from each other this last time if they had a commitment. She thinks they need to believe in each other and she believes in him. She says if they have that, they have everything. Ridge says he’s concerned about Rick and how he wants to keep them apart. Brooke assures Ridge he won’t be a problem, but Ridge thinks Rick does whatever he wants. Brooke hates to admit it, but she thinks Rick needed to beat Ridge at something and he did it by becoming president of FC. Brooke thinks that’s enough to satisfy him. She thinks he will leave them alone and asks Ridge to marry her. Ridge promises her the most beautiful, most romantic wedding ever. He says it’s what she deserves and what she’s going to get. Brooke says this time it will be forever and nothing will come between them ever again.
Ridge comes to see Brooke in their bedroom and finds the room transformed into a Japanese setting. Brooke lies in bed with sushi all over her body and says, “I told you dinner would be on me.” Ridge comes over to the bed and Steffy calls asking if he wants to get dinner with her. Ridge says he already ordered in and she should see the spread in front of him. Steffy asks if he wants some company, but Ridge says Brooke is with him. He hangs up and Brooke instructs Ridge to take off his clothes. He strips down and then indulges in the Brooke buffet. After they indulge in sushi, Brooke and Ridge discuss Rick and how much they love each other. Ridge says he loves her, but their issues run deep. He says he couldn’t forgive Rick when he hurt Phoebe and it’s probably where a lot of this antagonism comes from. Brooke says Phoebe has recovered and is doing well and she promises that he will never hurt her again.
Eric goes to see Ridge and tells him he wants him back at the company. Ridge wonders where Eric’s loyalty and dignity went. He says FC was his legacy and Eric was ready to hand the company over to him, but now he can’t even walk in the door. Eric says it’s not about titles, it’s about a father and son rising above and he asks Ridge to come back to the fold, but Ridge will only do that if Rick is no longer president. Ridge tells his father that Rick is playing both him and Brooke, but they are too blind to see it. Eric responds that all his children are welcome at FC and Ridge points out that he’s not really his child. Eric insists it doesn’t matter to him, but Ridge wonders if that’s really true. Ridge tells Eric that Rick is being a selfish jerk, but Eric doesn’t see it and he won’t be a part of it.
Brooke tells Ridge that Rick is moving out. Ridge asks when this is happening and Brooke says tonight. She tells him to come home and that dinner will be on her. Brooke asks if Ridge is still angry with her, but he says it’s hard to stay mad at her. He’s still confused about what happened at the podcast, but he doesn't want to talk about it. Brooke says she realized at the beach that what they share is more powerful than anything that could come between them. She doesn’t think it’s fair how he was pushed out of Forrester, but he tells her he wants her more than being back at the company. Brooke asks if he’ll come home and he asks, “How could I not?” Brooke wants Ridge by her side because then nothing can get in their way.
