In bed, Brooke tells Ridge she wants Rick to be at their rehearsal dinner and wedding, but Ridge says Rick is not welcome. Brooke thinks she can talk to her son, but Ridge doesn’t think it will do any good. Ridge gets a call from Phoebe who tells Ridge she’s home. Ridge is thrilled and asks to come visit her at Taylor’s. He hangs up and Brooke notes that all of Ridge’s children will be joining the celebration. Ridge retorts that his kids aren’t trying to break them up. Brooke still wants her son to be there and Ridge relents telling Brooke to go work her magic on Rick and Brooke thanks him.
Brooke comes to see Rick who tells his mother he won’t read a poem or stand up for Ridge at their wedding. Brooke asks him to stand up for her and accept that she and Ridge will spend the rest of their lives together. She tells Rick that Ridge has agreed to let him come to the rehearsal dinner. Rick is sarcastically flattered that Ridge will allow it, but doesn’t want any part of their rehearsal dinner or wedding. They argue about Ridge and Brooke tells her son that she loves him and points out that he should be enjoying all the good in his life and not be focusing on her and Ridge. She knows their marriage will work this time and asks her son to be happy for her. Rick says he can’t close his eyes and allow her to walk into another disaster with Ridge. Brooke continues to try and convince Rick to accept her union to Ridge and be a part of it. She tells him both she and Ridge have tried with him and this is his problem now because he won’t budge. She has been through this too many times with Stephanie and she won’t do it anymore. She tells him she will miss him at the party and the wedding. Brooke says she loves him and wishes she could have done better by him and change the things he would have liked to be different. Rick tells her she was a great mother and he worshipped her so he didn’t want to share her with anyone. Brooke hugs Rick and tells him she appreciates him and again asks him to be there for her at the wedding to help her celebrate this amazing day in her life. She tells him she needs him to be there and Rick says, “How the hell am I supposed to say no to that.” They laugh and Rick tells her he loves her and would do anything for her. He agrees to be there and Brooke is grateful.
In her office, Brooke tells Katie her wedding is in two days at the beach. Katie offers to help and Brooke happily accepts. Katie thinks maybe it will be awkward for Bridget if she’s there, but Brooke say it’s a new beginning for her and Ridge so it can be a new beginning for Katie and Bridget as well. All Brooke is going to concentrate on that day is joy.
Katie and Brooke discuss wedding plans and Donna comes in crying. She tells them that Eric ended things and Brooke and Katie are shocked. Donna doesn’t understand what happened. Katie asks if it’s because of her and Owen and Donna adamantly states there is no her and Owen. Donna is confused as to why Eric changed his mind and cries as her sisters try to console her. Donna thinks there has to be an answer because something else is going on. She doesn’t know what, but she will find out because it doesn’t make sense.
Brooke asks Ridge if he’s come up with a venue for their wedding and Ridge is a bit distracted, but says he’s on it. Ridge is more concerned about Eric’s big decision he’s about to make between Stephanie and Donna. Brooke says they are on opposite sides of most family issues, but they can agree to disagree. Ridge notes they are like congress and in the spirit of reaching across the aisle, he kisses her. Ridge says he has an idea for a venue and suggests they get married at the beach again. Brooke loves it and offers her own idea – a grand, red carpet rehearsal dinner. Ridge says she’s making it sound like her first wedding again and Brooke says it sort of is and it will be her last. Ridge says he loves her and can’t wait to make her his wife because this time it’s forever. They talk more about their wedding and their love for each other and fall back on the bed kissing.
Brooke and Ridge bask in their post sushi buffet glow. Brooke tells him his touch is her safe place and he is her happily ever after. She wants to know what they’re waiting for on their wedding and states they don’t need anyone’s permission. Ridge says, “No Ma’am,” and kisses her. Ridge and Brooke put robes on and talk about their wedding. Brooke doesn’t want to wait because they know what they have is right between them. They discuss their past and Brooke says they never would have walked away from each other this last time if they had a commitment. She thinks they need to believe in each other and she believes in him. She says if they have that, they have everything. Ridge says he’s concerned about Rick and how he wants to keep them apart. Brooke assures Ridge he won’t be a problem, but Ridge thinks Rick does whatever he wants. Brooke hates to admit it, but she thinks Rick needed to beat Ridge at something and he did it by becoming president of FC. Brooke thinks that’s enough to satisfy him. She thinks he will leave them alone and asks Ridge to marry her. Ridge promises her the most beautiful, most romantic wedding ever. He says it’s what she deserves and what she’s going to get. Brooke says this time it will be forever and nothing will come between them ever again.
Ridge comes to see Brooke in their bedroom and finds the room transformed into a Japanese setting. Brooke lies in bed with sushi all over her body and says, “I told you dinner would be on me.” Ridge comes over to the bed and Steffy calls asking if he wants to get dinner with her. Ridge says he already ordered in and she should see the spread in front of him. Steffy asks if he wants some company, but Ridge says Brooke is with him. He hangs up and Brooke instructs Ridge to take off his clothes. He strips down and then indulges in the Brooke buffet. After they indulge in sushi, Brooke and Ridge discuss Rick and how much they love each other. Ridge says he loves her, but their issues run deep. He says he couldn’t forgive Rick when he hurt Phoebe and it’s probably where a lot of this antagonism comes from. Brooke says Phoebe has recovered and is doing well and she promises that he will never hurt her again.
Rick tells Brooke, Marcus and Katie that the company has to change now and it will start with them. He gets up from behind the desk and everyone marvels at how well he’s doing without his crutches. Rick says he didn’t do it alone and he can’t run the company alone. He knows his half siblings are resentful and he needs to know he has a strong support system. Brooke wonders why it has to be ‘us against them’ and Marcus notes that they are all part of the same family. Rick says they have all been part of the Forrester family, but they haven’t been given equal billing. He declares it’s the Logan’s time to shine and they can’t let anyone divide them.
Donna joins the rest of the Logans in Rick’s office and mentions that Owen is working there again. Rick snidely requests that she not mess that situation up again and everyone is shocked by Rick’s harsh demeanor. Rick declares they already got rid of Ridge and if anyone else stands in their way they will get rid of them too. Brooke isn’t comfortable with that attitude, but Rick says Eric has put him in charge and he will deliver. Brooke leaves and Steffy comes in dropping Rick’s mail on his desk. Rick tells her he always thought he saw her mother in her, but now he’s starting to see a lot more of her father. Steffy is insulted and leaves. Marcus notes that Rick wants them all to choose sides and Rick says he doesn’t want Ridge’s name mentioned or to even see his name plates around the building. Rick says this is his vision and his company and nothing and no one will stand in his way.
Brooke comes to see Rick again and tells him she appreciates his concern, but she needs to do what’s right for her life. She asks him to move out so Ridge can move back in. Rick gets furious and says he won’t let that happen. Brooke tells her son that Ridge is her future and they will have a life together with or without his blessing.
