Katie comes to see Owen and asks if Donna is in yet. Owen hasn’t seen her, but Katie saw her car in the parking lot. She thinks maybe she’s in Eric’s office and Katie wonders if Eric is testing her having Owen hanging around. Owen doesn’t think Eric can make Donna happy and Katie tells him to back off. Katie tells Owen to respect that Donna is in love with Eric, but Owen doesn’t think she’s getting any respect from Eric. Owen thinks Donna will never be happy with Eric and says he needs to make his move.
Thorne and Eric argue over Eric’s decision and Eric orders Throne to take the camera in Owen’s office down and to not tell anyone what they did. Thorne tries to get Eric to change his mind, but while Eric values Stephanie, he wants to be with Donna. Thorne grabs the laptop and points out that Donna is alone with Owen in his office right now and once the camera is gone he won’t be able to watch what they’re doing anymore. Thorne tells Eric to look at the computer and Eric sees Donna and Owen in a close moment. Eric thinks Donna isn’t interested, but Thorne points out she hasn’t left the room. Eric doesn’t think Donna will jeopardize their marriage, but Throne isn’t so sure. They watch as Owen locks the door and then the two of them start kissing. Eric yells at the computer, “No! Donna! No!” and throws things off his desk as Owen and Donna get busy.
Thorne and Eric watch as Owen tries to seduce Donna. Eric wishes he had Thorne put in a microphone, but Thorne provides his own dialogue for his father, “It goes something like this. ‘Lets get naked!’” Donna pushes Owen away and tells him to stop coming on to her. Eric is thrilled at seeing Donna walk away from Owen, but Thorne is still skeptical. Donna tells Owen she won’t betray her husband and that nothing is going to happen between them. She asks him to respect her relationship with Eric and Owen says fine. Donna leaves his office and Eric is convinced of Donna’s loyalty. He tells his son that Donna passed the test and that he will never question Donna’s love for him again.
Donna goes to see Owen and he can't believe he’s spending his time trying to find her a precious and rare orchid, even though she’s made it clear she doesn’t want him. Owen says negative things about Eric, namely that he moved in with both Donna and Steph, but Donna defends him. Owen thinks it’s insulting to her and he’s surprised that she would go along with it. He says she has a choice and she’s looking right at him.
Owen wonders if Donna thinks about what she’s missing with him and Donna asks, “What if I do?” Owen locks the door and tells Donna that he’s been truthful to her and never went behind her back to undermine her with Eric. He says they can do anything in this office and he won’t say a word. Owen asks Donna to let him show her how good they can be together.
Rick, Eric, Owen and Donna have a business meeting and Rick questions whether or not Owen and Donna should head up the project they’re discussing. Eric decrees it's what he wants and the meeting breaks up. Donna asks Eric why he wants her to spend time with Owen and thinks it’s a bad idea. Eric doesn’t think it will be a problem if Donna is as committed to him as she says she is. Donna assures him she is, so Eric says there's no reason she can’t work on this project with Owen. Donna agrees to it and kisses Eric telling him she loves him.
Owen and Donna meet up to discuss their project and Donna says she thinks it’s strange that Eric would want them to work together, but he doesn’t seem threatened at all. As they go over things, Eric watches from his computer. He wonders if Donna is telling the truth, that she can be faithful to him. Owen tries on some swim trunks for the project they’re working on and Eric watches as Donna feels the fabric on the shorts. She looks for the label in the back of the shorts and Throne comes in Eric's office questioning what Donna’s doing. Things turn out to be innocent enough, but Thorne thinks in time Donna will prove she’s not worthy to be Eric’s wife.
Stephanie, Thorne and Felicia talk and Owen walks in the office. He informs them that he was rehired by Eric because he was grateful that Owen saved his life. Owen leaves and Stephanie thinks Eric has forgiven Donna or else he wouldn’t have hired Owen, while Thorne remains mum.
Donna comes to Owen’s office and he tells her the Forresters aren’t exactly thrilled to see him. Donna thinks it’s because it’s a reflection of Eric’s feelings for her and Owen asks what about his feelings, noting that the two of them will be working closely together with no one around.
Eric and Donna work in Eric’s office and Donna brings up the announcement Eric made. Donna shows him emails and faxes from concerned and upset employees from around the world. Eric thanks her for bringing it to his attention and tells her that he’s come to the conclusion that trust is the most important thing in any relationship. Donna begs him not to give up on their marriage. She thinks they can survive anything and have to remember how much they love each other. Donna says no one can destroy the love she feels for him. Someone knocks on the door and Donna answers to Owen. Eric says he asked Owen to come so they could have a talk that is long overdue. Donna again tells Eric that nothing really happened between the two of them and that Owen was just a good friend to both of them. Owen backs her up. Eric agrees that Owen is not a threat to him anymore and thanks him for all he’s done for them. Eric then asks him to work at Forrester Creations again. Owen and Donna are both stunned, but Eric says he’s heard good things about him and Donna will need help with her heavy workload. Owen accepts and Eric makes a call saying Owen is ready to see his new office. Owen is grateful and says he won’t let Eric down.
