Taylor, Rick and Steffy are visiting with Marcus when Stephanie comes in to see if he is okay. Brooke and Beth then enter and everyone learns of Beth’s accident. She assures them she’s fine and then Eric and Ridge pile in the room. Eric asks how Donna is doing and Brooke thanks Eric for his concern. She says now that Donna knows Marcus and Beth are okay, everything will be just fine. Marcus thanks everyone for coming to see him. He then asks to speak with Eric alone and everyone filters out.
Brooke and Beth discuss Katie at Brooke’s house. Beth tells Brooke she’s an amazing sister to let Jack go home with Katie considering the circumstances. Taylor comes to the door and Beth goes out for a walk.
While out on her walk, a car trails Beth and speeds up behind her. Beth turns around in horror as the car comes up on her.
Donna rushes over to Brooke’s house and finds Brooke tending to Beth’s injuries. Beth avoided getting run down, but got clipped by the car. Her pants are torn and her leg is scratched up. Beth says it was scary because it was like the person was deliberately trying to hit her. Donna gets nervous and Brooke takes Beth to the hospital. Donna stays behind for Hope and RJ and says to herself, “Marcus and now my mom. Damn you Pam!”
Katie goes to see Beth and tells her how wonderful things are with Nick. Beth assures her daughter that Ridge and Brooke are out of the house so she can talk freely. Katie expresses her concern about how people would perceive her and Nick, but says Bridget practically gave them her blessing. Beth is surprised to hear Katie and Nick are moving in together and isn’t sure how Brooke will feel about it, but thinks she will have issues due to Bridget. Beth tells her daughter she’s moving a little fast with Nick, but Katie says Nick isn’t on the rebound. Beth isn’t worried about that so much as she is about her relationship with her sister. Katie says it won’t affect her and Brooke and notes that sometimes things work out the way they are supposed to. Katie declares that she will spend the rest of her life with the man she loves, raising their child. Beth is worried and wants to make sure her happiness with Nick lasts. Katie says it will for both her and the baby and Beth is glad the baby will have both his/her parents. Katie says neither she nor Nick had their father growing up, but this baby will, along with a sibling. Katie beams as she tells Beth that she is moving in with the man she loves and together they can begin to raise Jack and everything will work out the way it’s supposed to.
Beth is at the Forrester Mansion. Stephanie assures her that she's not keeping Donna away from Eric out of spite. Beth says she understands that Stephanie is only doing what she thinks is right for Eric. Stephanie asks how she is doing. Beth tells her that seeing Eric really helped her feel better. She asks Stephanie to tell him that he is in their thoughts and prayers and then leaves.
Stephen and Beth discuss Eric, and Beth is glad the family is all together. Stephen asks if they are truly together and if they are free of their past. Beth says there were forces they couldn’t control back then and Stephen admits he never felt like he could measure up to Eric Forrester. Beth reminds him that he is the man she married. Stephen says all he ever wanted was to be number one in her heart and Beth wonders if people really get second chances. Stephen says their daughters need them and the Logans can be stronger than ever before. He says they owe it to themselves to try again, but they can take it as slowly as she wants. Beth sees how much he has changed and Stephen says there is nothing stopping them now. Stephen says for the first time in his life he has let his animosity towards Eric go and that he and Stephanie have no power over him now. Beth is thrilled to hear that and Stephen says it’s his turn to hold the family together and even though they lost their son, they still have their daughters. Beth says the girls need him and she does too and they passionately kiss.
Stephen and Beth come in and are caught up on Owen getting arrested and Stephanie blaming Donna for what happened. Stephen rails at Steph and the rest of the Forresters for having it in for Donna and Donna runs out of the house. Stephen continues to defend his daughter as the Forresters throw out theories on how and why Donna was involved. Stephanie and Felicia ask Bridget if there could be an antidote for Eric since the pills caused his condition. Bridget says it’s not that simple, but now that the doctors have the lab reports, it will help.
Stephen and Beth come to see Donna at FC to take her out to lunch, but find her office empty. Stephen flashes back to catching Donna and Eric having sex on the couch and says this office brings back a lot of bad memories. He says Eric has cost their family a lot, but Beth says he has made their daughter happy. Stephen says, “Who knows how long that would have lasted.” Beth can’t believe he’s talking like Eric is already dead. Stephen says even if he did recover, Eric would eventually break Donna’s heart and go back to Stephanie. Beth wants Stephen to let it go because they were having a good time. Stephen thinks he has a right to be upset with Eric, but says he’s in a coma now so there’s nothing else he can do to their family. Beth hopes Eric gets better, but Stephen can't let go of all the heartache Eric has caused him and the family. Stephen realizes he’s letting this dark cloud hang over him and Beth says she’s surprised because he seemed like a different person now. Stephen says he is because they are home and he has never stopped loving her. He says he is free to be the man she has always wanted him to be and the man she deserves. He wants to take her in his arms and never let her go. Which he does as he kisses her.
Katie insists she can’t be Jack’s godmother because she doesn’t know what her future will hold or if she will even be alive in a few years. Bridget thinks she would be a good influence and is the perfect choice for Jack. Katie yells at Bridget to stop! Bridget knows Katie has a fear of dying, but thinks there’s something else going on. Beth pipes up and says Katie is just overwhelmed with the responsibility of being a godmother. Bridget just assumed Katie would want this, saying people with heart transplants go on to live long lives and many even have kids of their own. Katie asks if Bridget really thinks she could have children and Bridget offers to do some checking. Katie tells her to forget it and Bridget says she’s certain Katie will have her own family someday, but until then she has Jack, her and Nick. Beth notices Katie getting upset and says Bridget needs to give Katie some time. Bridget reminds Katie that she loves her and that they are bonded for life. Katie cries and says she needs to be by herself. Bridget asks her to consider what she said and to consider being Jack’s godmother. Bridget thinks Nick would want Katie to be a part of his child’s life.
