The first Logan woman to become involved with a Forrester, Beth Logan fell in love with Eric in college, but he married Stephanie instead. They ran into each other thirty years later when she catered an event at the Forrester mansion. In the time between meetings, Beth married Stephen Logan and had four children. Stephen left her however, when he realized he would never be able to live up to Beth’s standards, which were set by Eric.
Once Beth and Eric reconnected, they began an affair, much to her son Storm’s disapproval. Beth soon discovered she had breast cancer and pushed Eric away, rather than tell him the truth. Eric eventually found out and was prepared to stand by her, until Stephen returned after Eric’s wife Stephanie hired a private investigator to track him down.
Stephen and Beth reconciled and the couple relocated to Paris. Years later, Stephen returned to Los Angeles alone, stating that he and Beth had divorced because she had never gotten over Eric.
Beth stayed in Paris, but curiously didn’t return home for Storm’s funeral or Katie’s heart transplant. Realizing how upset it made Katie, Nick flew to Paris to convince her to return to her daughters. Once home, Beth revealed that she had been keeping her distance because she had several mini-strokes and was in the early stages of dementia. The family rallied around her and Beth began treatment in LA, which seemed to have done the trick.
Beth moved in with Brooke and began helping to take care of her grandchildren. She and Stephen even made progress, as after they forgave each other for the past, they took steps towards reconciling.
During Pam’s attempt to warn Donna away from Eric, she hit Beth with her car while the latter was out for a walk. Luckily, Beth only suffered minor injuries.

Donna returns home from the wedding and tells Eric everyone is on their way over. She would like them to welcome everyone together, but Eric won’t do that. Brooke and Ridge come to the house and learn from Donna that Eric won’t be playing host tonight. Katie and Bill arrive and then Rick follows, who just came in from Paris. Marcus, Justin, Jarrett, Beth and Stephen all enter the house and congratulate the happy couple. Rick asks about the wedding and Bill says he never thought a little park in Van Nuys could be so magical. As Bill and Katie mingle, Bill spots Eric on the terrace and goes to talk to him. He thanks him for opening his home, but Eric says it was Donna’s idea. Donna comes over and asks Eric to join her for the toast. Inside, Ridge tells Brooke he doesn't know how Eric is going to get through tonight. Donna comes back inside and welcomes everyone to celebrate Katie and Bill’s wedding. She then calls Justin up who talks about how Katie changed Bill and wishes them a beautiful life together. Brooke goes next and talks up the woman Katie is today and the exiting adventure she and Bill have ahead of them. The cake is then cut and Jarrett catches the garter.
In the foyer, Stephen and Beth talk with Katie about how wonderful the wedding was. Katie tells them she was trying to give Beth pieces of the past and Beth tells her she did. Bill walks over and tells Katie the jet is waiting to take them on their honeymoon. As Mr. and Mrs. Spencer say their thank yous and goodbyes, a choked up Bill tells the Logans he is honored to join their family. Instead of tossing her bouquet, Katie hands it to her mother so as not to take any chances because she wants her and Stephen to get married soon. Before they leave, Katie pulls Bill into a kiss.
The wedding gets underway as Karen does a reading and thanks Katie for putting a smile on Bill’s face. Stephen is next and encourages Beth to speak with him. They recall old times in the neighborhood and Stephen says he doesn’t know how he ever left Katie, or how she forgave him, but he’s glad to be a part of the family again and now he has a new happy memory: Katie’s wedding.
