Donna Passes the Test.

Monday, November 24 2008

Rick drags Steffy back into his office, but she resists him. Rick apologizes for kissing her, but Steffy just yells at him because she’s dating Marcus and he dated her mother and sister. She calms down a bit and Rick says he’s been lonely since Taylor dumped him and she reminds him of her. Steffy thinks that’s ‘messed up’, but Rick thinks she should be flattered explaining that she’s smart, strong and feisty like her mother. Steffy thinks Rick is working her, but Rick insists he’s not; he’s just still getting over Taylor dumping him. Steffy’s phone rings and it’s Marcus. He tells her he’s in Paris, but he’s confused as to why Rick sent him there. However, he thinks he’s lucky, but that it’s almost too good to be true. Steffy hangs up with Marcus and yells at Rick about sending Marcus out of the country because she knows it’s all part of his plan to use her. Steffy makes it clear that she won’t be used and Rick explains that he was devastated when Taylor broke up with him. He blames Ridge for it and says he hates him for taking Taylor away from him, for messing with his family as a kid and for hurting Brooke over the years. Steffy feels bad for Rick, but says blaming Ridge is a copout and kissing her was wrong. Rick apologizes and Steffy asks what happened to him because he used to be such a good guy. Steffy used to think he was cool and she was happy he and her mother were together, but now he’s this power hungry person and he’s losing the good guy he once was. Rick says Taylor did a number on him and he blames Ridge for it. He’s trying to make a powerful impression and he wants to do right by Eric, but he feels like he’s doing it alone and that he doesn’t have a friend in the world. Steffy says she could be his friend, but she doesn’t want to be used again and she doesn’t want to see his rage destroy him.

Dinner's On Me!

Thursday, November 20 2008

Stephanie comes to Rick’s office and sees him taking down photos of Ridge. She asks if there is anything left of her son in the room and Rick replies, “God I hope not.” Rick says if she gives away his secret, Brooke will be with Ridge forever and it could affect Eric’s health. Stephanie warns him not to use Eric’s health as a weapon and informs him that his editing trick didn’t have the impact he wanted because Ridge and Brooke are still together. Rick is upset and Stephanie asks what Rick’s next move is. Steffy and Marcus interrupt them and Rick tells Marcus he is very valuable, so he is shipping him off to Forrester International so he can learn the ropes. Marcus is excited and Steffy is proud of him. Marcus asks how long he’ll be there and Rick tells him just a few weeks, but if all goes well, it could be longer. Rick tells him he is scheduled to leave in a couple of hours. Marcus would have liked more time to prepare, but he’s grateful and asks Steffy to help him get ready to leave.

Marcus tells Donna about his leaving and Donna is thrilled for him, although she’s upset he’s leaving so soon. She’s proud of her son, but she’ll miss him. Marcus assures her that no matter where he is, he’ll love her just as much.

Marcus says goodbye to Steffy and Rick gives him an envelope to give to Jacques when he gets to Paris. Marcus leaves and Steffy tells Rick she’s going to miss Marcus a lot. Rick tells Steffy that while Marcus is away she can count on him. He tells her everything will be fine and puts his arm around her.

A Valuable Asset.

Wednesday, November 19 2008

Donna joins the rest of the Logans in Rick’s office and mentions that Owen is working there again. Rick snidely requests that she not mess that situation up again and everyone is shocked by Rick’s harsh demeanor. Rick declares they already got rid of Ridge and if anyone else stands in their way they will get rid of them too. Brooke isn’t comfortable with that attitude, but Rick says Eric has put him in charge and he will deliver. Brooke leaves and Steffy comes in dropping Rick’s mail on his desk. Rick tells her he always thought he saw her mother in her, but now he’s starting to see a lot more of her father. Steffy is insulted and leaves. Marcus notes that Rick wants them all to choose sides and Rick says he doesn’t want Ridge’s name mentioned or to even see his name plates around the building. Rick says this is his vision and his company and nothing and no one will stand in his way.

Marcus reluctantly replaces Ridge’s name with Rick’s all over the building. Steffy sees this and runs off.

Watch Out For the Anvils!

Tuesday, November 11 2008

Rick comes off the elevator with the help of metal crutches that he’s using to help play up that he 'just' got the use of his legs back. Thorne sees him and tells Rick that his promotion is not justified. Thorne leaves and Rick tells Steffy and Marcus (who overheard) that Ridge turned down the co-presidency.

Steffy and Marcus have differing views on Rick’s presidency. Marcus is thrilled for him, but Steffy feels bad for her dad. Steffy doesn’t know why Eric would do this, but Marcus thinks Eric knows what he’s doing. Steffy calls Taylor and tells her about Rick being president and that Ridge is out.

Marcus helps Jake set the cameras up and Jake reiterates that the announcement won’t be live, but after editing it anyone with a computer can log on to the Forrester website and view it.

Help Me Help You.

Taylor, Rick and Steffy are visiting with Marcus when Stephanie comes in to see if he is okay. Brooke and Beth then enter and everyone learns of Beth’s accident. She assures them she’s fine and then Eric and Ridge pile in the room. Eric asks how Donna is doing and Brooke thanks Eric for his concern. She says now that Donna knows Marcus and Beth are okay, everything will be just fine. Marcus thanks everyone for coming to see him. He then asks to speak with Eric alone and everyone filters out.
