No Price is Too High.

Lt. Baker looks over Owen’s file as Charlie walks in. He asks his father why he keeps going over the report when Owen confessed. He says it’s almost too good to be true and the elder Baker agrees saying he wants to know more about Owen and his relationship with Donna. The two discuss the case with Charlie thinking they have the right guy and his father doubting that. Lt. Baker doesn’t understand why Owen would confess when there isn’t any evidence against him and thinks maybe it’s a cover up.

Who Would Want to See Eric Dead?

All heck breaks loose when Owen confesses to poisoning Eric. After the Forresters and Donna take turns yelling at Owen, the cops drag him off in handcuffs.

The Bakers bring Owen downtown and question him about his past. Lt. Baker wonders why Owen confessed even though there was no evidence tying him to the crime. He wants to know what Owen’s relationship is with the new Mrs. Forrester. The cops skeptically question Owen about where he got the potassium chloride and why he did it. Owen says he did it for greed and he was going to make his move on Donna after Eric was dead. He plays up the con artists angle, but the Bakers don’t seem to believe him as they throw up their arms and leave.

Owen Confesses!

Owen and Marcus physically get into it and the cops show up. Bridget says she called them on the way over and Marcus tells them that Owen tried to kill Eric Forrester. Marcus and Bridget present their case to Lt. and Det. Baker and Lt. Baker asks for the gin bottle. Marcus says it is conveniently gone and goes into his theory against Owen. Lt. Baker says it’s a compelling story, but without evidence there’s nothing they can do. The cops ask for permission to search the house and Donna says of course.

Stephen Says Goodbye!

As Stephen struggles to come to terms with the news of Storm's death, the girls try to help him. He turns and tells Katie how glad he is that she's still here. Bridget says Katie needs to regain her strength, and Brooke and Donna lead Stephen from the room. Out in the corridor, Stephen says he needs to see his son. Eric comes over and embraces Donna. She cries that she didn't want Katie to see them all upset, and says she is so worried about her dad! She tells Eric that Brooke has taken Stephen to say goodbye to Storm. Down in the morgue, Stephen approaches the gurney on which Storm lies, and lifts the sheet briefly, before sitting down heavily on a stool nearby. He sobs as he tells his son that people who don't know him won't understand what he did - but he does. "It's the way you've always been. You always looked after his sisters so well. But it wasn't your job - it was mine! And I went away and left it all up to you! For what it's worth, I'll take care of them now. I'll be here and you can rest!" Brooke embraces her father. Back in Katie's room, she is visibly upset!

She Was His Heart, So He Gave Her His...

At Ashley's house, Lt. Baker and the police investigate and ask Ashley questions. On the phone with Brooke, Ridge asks how Katie is doing. She says the doctors aren't holding out much hope, and Ridge warns her that she shouldn't let Storm leave. Ridge explains that he is going to tell the police the truth and Storm will be going away for a long time!

I Do Have a Heart!

In the Forrester living room, Lt. Baker awaits Stephanie's response to his question, "Do you know who shot you?" Stephanie tells him that the person responsible for what happened to her is here in this room. Ridge and Eric are puzzled by her response, and Katie reaches out and touches her shoulder. Stephanie takes a deep breath and says, "The person responsible is me." The police ask if she arranged her own shooting. Stephanie says no, but she has done a lot of reprehensible things that led to it. She asks to have the investigation closed. Eric stares at her in disbelief! After the police leave, Stephanie tells Storm that he is free and she forgives him. She explains that Katie made a very compelling case for him earlier. Ridge pipes up that Storm's rough life doesn't excuse what he did! Stephanie says she never wants to talk about this again. Brooke steps forward and thanks her - she says she never thought that it would be possible that she could change like this. Donna also thanks her, for not making her send her brother to prison. Stephanie, then turns to see Eric, who has a softened look on his face as he gazes at her with approval!

Stephen Goes Free!

Stephanie is with Lt.Baker and Detective Baker at the police station. She is telling them that she is having memory flashes and she knows now that Stephen Logan wasn't the shooter. The two men are incredulous that if this case goes to trial, even with all the evidence to the contrary, Stephanie cannot or will not testify against Stephen Logan. They ask her who the shooter was if it wasn't him. Stephanie says she doesn't know who it was, and she suggests they give Stephen a lie detector test. They ask again if she's sure and Stephanie tells them she is as positive about this as she has been about anything in her life!

Brooke sits in her living room re-thinking her last conversation with Donna before she left to see Eric, and worrying about her sister. She heads down to the police station and sees Stephanie and her father with Lt. Baker and Detective Baker. The police explains that Stephen is free to go and a jubilant Brooke embraces her father. He tells her he is now prepared to be the father she and her brother and sisters need. She tells him she loves him. When they arrive back at Brooke's house the phone rings and Stephen goes to shower. Stephanie is on the phone reminding Brooke to keep her end of the deal. Stephanie reminds her she has given them the gift of having their family back - now she wants hers back! Brooke says it sounds good, but it only works for everyone other than Eric and Donna. Again, Stephanie tells her it wouldn't have lasted anyway. She promises that Storm will go to jail if Donna doesn't come through! When Stephen comes back downstairs, they discuss how diabolical Stephanie's plan is. Brooke tells Stephen not to blame himself. She assures him that Donna is stronger than she knows.

Sacrifice of a Lifetime!

After the phone call from Stephanie, Brooke, standing in her living room, makes a frantic call to Storm's cell phone warning him not to tell the police that he shot Stephanie - she's on her way over to the house and wants to make a deal! ...Meanwhile, at the police station, Storm and Katie arrive and tell Detective Baker that there is new information that will exonerate their father, but are asked to wait when Detective Baker has to run out on another matter!
