They all converge in the hallway and Eric gets a phone call and runs off. Pam and Ann walk away as well and Donna reenters Pam’s room. Pam apologizes to Donna, but Donna doesn’t believe her. Pam doesn’t blame her for thinking she’s evil, but asks if she can forgive her. Pam says if she doesn’t forgive her she couldn’t bear it. Donna’s ears perk up and she skeptically asks, “Bear it?”
Stephanie, Eric and Donna go in to see Pam who is unconscious from surgery. Stephanie calls to her and Pam wakes up. Steph assures her she will be okay now and tells her she’s in the hospital. Donna asks Eric where the police are and Eric says they will probably be there any minute. Donna whispers that Pam is dangerous, but Stephanie yells at Donna to be quiet and not say those things out loud because it wasn’t Pam’s fault that she did those things. Pam suddenly blurs out, “Tiny! Where’s Tiny?” Pam wonders who’s taking care of him and Stephanie tells her that Tiny died. Pam gets upset, but Stephanie tells her it happened months ago. Pam doesn’t believe it and Donna tells Pam that she is giving a remarkable performance considering she tried to kill her, her mother and Eric. Pam wonders why Donna is saying these things and says, “I want Tiny.”
Stephanie goes in to see Pam who is still unconscious. She says they will not let it end this way because they have suffered too much. She blames their father for everything because he stole their childhood and took their innocence. She will not let him defeat them and says they will be alright. Pam’s not to blame for what’s happened, but she has to fight. Stephanie says this is not the time to leave because there’s too much to live for and the best is yet to come. The hospital staff comes in to take Pam to the OR and Stephanie assures her sister she will be waiting for her.
Stephanie convinces Pam that Ann isn’t there and Pam says, “She never was around when we really needed her.” Stephanie tells Pam that Ann misses her, but Pam thinks she just misses her taking care of her. Pam asks Stephanie if she has ever forgiven her for not helping her when they were little. Stephanie tries to assure her that there was nothing she could have done, but Pam thinks there was no one else to help, so it was her responsibility. She made a promise to never stand by and let someone hurt Stephanie again. They talk about what Pam did to Eric and Pam says she just wanted him to know he’s not young anymore and that she just wanted to scare him.
Eric comes in and asks Pam if he was ever cruel to her or treated her badly. Pam starts to break down and Stephanie tries to console her. Pam tells Eric not to blame Stephanie because when someone hurts her sister, sirens go off in her head and she has to do something. Stephanie says their father can't hurt her anymore and Pam agrees, but says Eric is now the man who’s hurting Stephanie. Pam couldn’t believe Eric would walk out on Stephanie like that and while she knows she was wrong, she wasn’t as wrong as he was. Eric says they were good friends once and Pam recalls that Ann told her she would make a better wife for Eric than Stephanie. She confesses that Ann wanted to take Eric away from Stephanie so she could have him. Stephanie isn’t surprised and says Ann has a strange view of marriage. She tells Pam that Eric fell in love with Donna, but Pam doesn’t want to hear it. Stephanie asks if Pam wanted to kill Eric and Pam says she would never do that. Stephanie asks her if the person she scared the most in all of this was herself. Pam recalls that she wanted to be a nurse, but their dad said she was too pretty and Ann said it was too dirty of a job. Pam cries as she says she didn’t become anything, “I became this.” Pam just wants Stephanie to be happy, but Stephanie tells her she doesn’t need her to protect her anymore, she just needs her to be her little sister. Pam begs Stephanie to put her away, but Stephanie tells her she just wants to get her help. Pam gets bad headaches and gets so worked up she passes out.
Stephanie calls Donna and says, “You know what to say when Pam calls right?” Donna isn’t sure she can do this, but Stephanie says there’s more going on with Pam than just her being off her medication and she needs to help her sister.
Pam calls Donna and baits her about Eric and Stephanie being together. Donna says she’s devastated giving up Eric, but Stephanie isn’t celebrating. She tells Pam that Ann came to L.A. and she’s sick. Pam doesn’t believe her, but Donna tells her to call Stephanie. After they hang up, Owen asks if Donna thinks she took the bait, but Donna doesn’t know.
Pam calls Stephanie and asks about their mother. Stephanie says her heart is bad and that Ann wants to see her. Pam hangs up and runs out.
Donna and Owen see a woman flee the vacant house next door and assume it is Pam and that she took the bait. Owen calls Stephanie and tells her that Pam took off.
Pam runs to Eric’s house and sees an ambulance and cries, “Mother you can’t leave me too.”
