Eric plays the piano in his living room and recalls good times with Donna. Donna rushes over to Eric’s and asks him to hold her because she had the worst day. Eric obliges and Donna starts to feel safe. Donna tells Eric what happened with Marcus and Eric is concerned for his stepson. He comforts Donna and she tells him there’s something else…but her phone rings. Donna answers to Brooke who tells her that Beth was hit by a car.
Donna rushes over to Brooke’s house and finds Brooke tending to Beth’s injuries. Beth avoided getting run down, but got clipped by the car. Her pants are torn and her leg is scratched up. Beth says it was scary because it was like the person was deliberately trying to hit her. Donna gets nervous and Brooke takes Beth to the hospital. Donna stays behind for Hope and RJ and says to herself, “Marcus and now my mom. Damn you Pam!”
The doorbell rings and it's Owen. He came over to see if Donna’s alright after what happened with Marcus. She says she’s fine, but he thinks she’s the one in danger because the package with the snake had her name on it. Donna tells Owen about Beth getting hit by a car and says someone is out to get her and her family. Owen and Donna both think it’s Pam. Donna tells Owen to leave and they can talk later because no one can see them together. Owen agrees to leave, but instructs her to call if she needs anything.
Once alone, Pam sneaks up behind Donna and scares the daylights out of her. She says, “I’ve been watching you Goldilocks and if you don’t stay away from your Honey Bear, I’m going to put you in hibernation permanently!”
Donna rushes Marcus to the hospital. After the doctors tend to him, Donna sits with her weak son in his hospital room. The doctor tells them that Marcus is lucky after getting a serious bite like that. Pending any allergies, he should be fine, but the doctor wants to keep him overnight for observation. The doctor leaves and Donna starts to cry because she could have lost him. Marcus requests, “The next time you order snake skin shoes, make sure they kill the snake first.” Donna doesn’t really think that’s funny and Marcus wonders who would have sent the snake. Donna has her suspicions, but doesn’t want to share them yet. A nurse comes in to check on Marcus and Donna leaves.
Out in the hall, Stephanie asks after Marcus and Donna asks, “What the hell are you doing here?” Stephanie expresses her concern for Marcus, but Donna wants Stephanie to leave. Stephanie explains that the accident happened at their company and she needs to get to the bottom of things. Donna tells her she will call the police if she goes anywhere near Marcus and accuses Stephanie and Pam of putting the snake in the crate. Stephanie is shocked by the suggestion, but Donna tells her she won’t get away with it. Stephanie says this was just a crazy accident, but Donna believes that Stephanie tried to kill her because of Eric. Stephanie insists she is not responsible and doesn’t think Pam is either. Donna admits maybe Steph didn’t do it, but she knows Pam did because of what happened in Big Bear. Donna asks Stephanie if she has heard from her sister, but Stephanie says no. She thinks Pam is scared and hiding, but Donna thinks she’s just waiting to get her. Stephanie defends her sister, but Donna begs Stephanie to help her find Pam before she comes after her again.
Ridge, Brooke (with Jack in tow) and Nick rush Katie to the hospital. Dr. Caspary gives Katie an ultrasound and Katie asks if her baby is going to be okay. Dr. Caspary regretfully says, “I’m sorry” and Katie breaks down in tears. The doctor says Katie had a miscarriage because the fetus wasn’t viable, possibly because of all the medication Katie has been on. Dr. Caspary leaves and Nick consoles Katie.
On the roof at Forrester, Marcus gets confirmation on a delivery from another co-worker and then sees Donna. She fills Marcus in on her meeting with Eric and says Eric needs some time, which she sees as a positive sign. Marcus gets a text saying they need him in the office and leaves.
Donna sits by herself until Owen walks up to her upset that he was fired. Donna can’t believe he’d be surprised and Owen says he can live without the job, but can’t live with losing her. Donna reiterates that she loves her husband, but Owen insists Donna loved him too. Donna admits she had feelings for him, especially after what he did at Big Bear, but it didn’t go any further than that. Owen pleads his case saying Donna needs to do what is good for her and Donna states that Eric is good for her and he needs to except that it’s over between them. Owen accepts it, but worries about her because Pam is still out there. He says he will never stop loving her and Donna walks away.
Marcus is on the roof when Thorne comes up to yell at him about taking care of a shipment. Marcus says it’s not even there yet, so ‘chill’. Throne is aghast at the lack of respect Marcus is showing his supervisor. Thorne exclaims the Forresters are back and they will reclaim the respect they lost while they’ve been gone. They exchange some heated words about Donna and then she comes up to ask what’s going on. She says if Thorne loves his father he should give Eric space and not pressure him. Thorne laughs at her saying she needs to do the same. Marcus steps in to defend his mother and his co-worker comes up to tell Marcus the shipment is in. Marcus leaves and Thorne and Donna stare each other down.
