Nick carries Bridget to their bedroom as they celebrate having a baby. He gives her some pink plaid pajama bottoms because that's what moms are supposed to wear, but he also thinks she looks cute in them. They talk about Sandy, and Bridget thinks she pulled her hand away from him because she was nervous. After seemingly having sex, Nick gives Bridget a calendar to mark off the days until their baby comes.
In Nick’s office, Bridget tells her husband she’s too wound up to wait around and wants to go to the hospital right now. Nick agrees and they run out.
Upon entering Dr. Caspary’s office, Bridget and Nick wonder where Sandy is. Sandy eventually walks in and Bridget assumes she’s just as excited as they are. Sandy then gets prepped and filled in on the procedure as Nick and Bridget standby. Dr. Caspary explains everything to a nervous Sandy. Sandy says she’s ready and Nick assures her they are there for her, but Sandy pulls her hand away from him when he takes it for comfort and asks him to pull the curtain so he can’t see her. She does however, cling to Bridget’s hand and excitedly smiles at her. The procedure gets underway as Bridget reassures Sandy and Nick peeks out from behind the curtain to mouth the words, 'I love you' to his wife. Bridget tells Sandy she’s giving them such an incredible gift, as Dr. Caspary implants the embryo. Nick comes out from behind the curtain and hugs his wife and thanks everyone for what they’ve done. After Nick and the doctor have left the room, Sandy tells Bridget she hasn’t been great at everything in her life, but she promises to be good at this. Nick returns from talking with Dr. Caspary and says everything went just fine, but now they just have to wait. He gives Sandy a yoga magazine to read and they leave her to get some rest.
Out in the hall at the hospital, Jackie, Owen and Whip come to congratulate Bridget and Nick. Owen gives Bridget flowers and after everyone goes to the waiting room, Whip stays behind and looks in Sandy’s room. He walks in, sees Sandy and says, "Agnes? Aggie? What are you doing here?"
Still at the doctor's, Bridget encourages Nick to make his deposit for the surrogacy process. Nick stalls so Bridget offers to help and Nick quickly locks the door. Dr. Caspary later walks in, as Nick and Bridget kiss and button up Nick's shirt, to tell them everything is ready to go. Carl then walks in and catches up with Bridget and assures them he will watch over everything so there will be no mess-ups. The happy couple insists it isn't necessary and as Carl enthusiastically hugs Bridget, he tells her to triple check the labels.
In one of the hospital rooms, the doctor goes over the procedure with Nick and Bridget and Bridget calls Sandy to tell her they just started the fertilization process. As Sandy munches on chips, she learns she could be implanted with an embryo in two days. After Bridget hangs up, she and Nick watch as fertilization in Petri dishes gets underway. Bridget thinks this time will end with a perfect little miracle.
Bridget and Nick talk about the surrogacy process in Dr. Caspary’s office. Nick gets turned on by her ‘doctor talk’ and Bridget continues looking forward to their bundle of joy via Sandy.
Bridget and Nick prepare to proceed with Dr. Caspary and Nick makes lame jokes about being 'eggsited'.
After getting her eggs harvested, Bridget and Nick decide to call Sandy. Bridget wants to make sure she's eating well and as she snacks on a candy bar, Sandy says, "That’s what I’m doing." Bridget hangs up and thinks maybe this is all too good to be true. Nick promises everything will be fine because it’s meant to be.
Nick and Bridget present Sandy with a contract outlining the terms of the surrogacy. They all sign it making it official and as Nick and Bridget celebrate, Sandy looks affected.
