Someone who wants revenge on the Forresters, especially Eric, was given information on them. How would Owen know Eric's favorite brand of gin unless someone told him? If you recall, Eric's heart attack was a surprise. I don't believe it was caused by sex with Donna.

When Donna poured herself a drink, Owen threw the liquor down the drain, a dead giveaway that there was some substance in that bottle which caused Erc's attack and being in a coma.

Maybe the spoiler regarding Ridge's difficult decision will be Eric's being brain-dead and he wants to pull the plug and Donna doesn't.

Legally Eric's wife would have the authority over pulling the plug, not his kids. Plus she has Eric's Power of Attorney so that really leaves Ridge out.

It would be amuzing to discover that there was something wrong with the divorce and that Eric and Stephanie were still married. Now THAT could shake things up a bit.
