ok if they are gonna go with a biracial child why not make him mixed >? Marcus is black he doesn't even look half white ...

Not all biracial children come out looking half white or half black. One parents gene can be stronger than the other and the child may take on that particular gene. My nieces and nephew are mixed and only my oldest niece looks mixed, she has her mothers light skin color and eyes lots of hair but it is kinky but she has all of my brothers other features. My other niece and nephew have darker complexions but look 100% Asian and if you look a them they have nothing of my brother but have darker skin than the eldest sister but my nephew has Asian type hair and my youngest niece has Indian type of hair. The same goes for my other family members who are half African American and Italian, some of them you just can't tell that they are biracial at all.

Proving you can't (and shouldn't)judge a book by the cover. The writers had the perfect opportunity when they had Lorenzo Lamas on the show and blew it big time. Well, at least the show is consistent in that department. That's another MB entirely right?

What does that particular storyline have to do with this topic? I remember his character/Hector had a daughter and a adopted son.

Have you ever seen Victoria (Y&R's Drucilla) Rowell's daughter? She looks completely white. She was on the Tyra Banks show talking about that. Also Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon (Fancy from the Jamie Foxx show). Her twins look almost completely white too. Funny how that happens.

I'm biracial but I lean slightly more to the white side too. But a friend of mine that's also biracial, a boy, looks kinda like Marcus, but his mother's black and his father's white

no need for long explanation , my child is also mixed ...Marcus being her son just doesn't look believable on the show , so many people sleeping with family members and that kind of stuff doesn't happen in real life now all of a sudden she has a black son ... that's a big stretch and that's my opinion . Since when did B&B get so real >??

How do you know this doesn't go on in real life? If your child is mixed then you should have a clue about dominating genes shouldn't you?

How do you know this doesn't go on in real life? If your child is mixed then you should have a clue about dominating genes shouldn't you?


Yeah i do have a clue about dominant genes , I'm just saying a lot of the bs that goes on on this show is not realistic and like I said its my opinion , did you read my last msg ?

my son has a mixed stepdaugther and peeps say they look alike is how white she is...and i have a friend that has a mixed son she being white and the dad is black..the son has no white in him what so ever.. and the mom is ghost white...so to me...the storyline is realistic and i think others will agree..

Well Fernando Lamas and Rosie Clooney were Lorenzo's parents, no? That would make him half white and half Latino, I believe.

Got it, your first post wasn't clear to me at all. I didn't know you were referring to the actual actor and his parents. I thought we were discussing the characters on the show/ particularly his character as (Hector) and his adopted son.

Uggerly, I didn't realize I was responding to your post sorry. I thought it was the other poster but thanks for clearing that up because I did not understand where they were coming from at all.

dominant genes takes all account in the color of eye, skin, hair and other traits that come out in our children.

Some things just don't show up like Scientist say. I have blone hair and blue eyes my ex has brown hair and brown eyes. Our daughter has blonde hair, blue eyes like me. However you would think dominant genes she would have brown hair and eyes.

Then my niece's children one has blue eyes, green eyes, and brown eyes. All same father and mother, father has green eyes mother blue eyes. just the genes from past came out in these children.

does not matter how they come out just that you love them and care for them. If you are not able to take care of a child the best thing to do is give anouther person a chance whom can not have children of thier own. I personally do not like Dunna but she did right by her child at the time.
