It occurred to me recently that with all of the Forrester siblings trying to kick out Donna without even giving her a chance that they are potentially risking everything to their own detriment. What if....Eric....out of anger and disgust fired them all (Felicia, Thorne, Ridge, Pam, etc.) and ran Forrester Creations with the Logan clan (Donna, Brooke, Katie,Marcus, Rick, etc.) and the Forrester siblings created THEIR own fashion house to compete with their Dad. It would definately step up the rivalry between the two families but....I suppose this is a huge long shot. Well, it's fun to speculate... |

Actually, I think that would be a very healthy thing for all concerned. The sibs need to be on their own and leave Dad alone. Let him reap the consequences of his choices and stay out of it. If he wants to act like an old f@rt on his last leg with a money grubbing bimbo, its his business. |

I think that would be a great idea. It would do one of two things. Either fall flat or be a wild success that left Forrester in the dust. That would be one way to prove Donna was a liability. |

In being fired as executives Eric would have to provide them first and foremost [more than likely] a severance package. They will not be walking out the door empty handed financially or with regard to expertise. Standing behind them is not only their expertise and business sense but also their MOTHER who is wealthy in her own right and savvy in the fashion industry. What would the Logan's have to stand on to make Eric's company the success it has been in the past? Brooke - failed as a head designer and her sex appeal is growing old and it wears thin. BeLief is old news. No doubt, her relationship with Ridge will end. Donna - zero contributions to the fashion industry; no business expertise in the fashion industry outside of posing nude; perhaps she can model lingerie replacing Brooke. Social expertise is surely lacking - would love to see her trying to entertain business associates successfully who will see nothing past her modeling in the nude and/or the bedroom line! Katie - public relations? Stephen - taking bribes? Beth - caterer at social functions; competition with daughter's for Eric? Marcus - newly hired - will he take over shipping and delivery? Rick - running international? Storm - guardian angle? Firing his family would be to Eric's detriment because he would lose the respect and love of his children. Eric has already placed himself in the tabloids due to the Naked Ledge incident. He is not honest and has no integrity. Firing his children because he cannot force feed them to respect Donna would be lower than low for him. Firing his children because he is not listening to them or to the public is plain stupid. He would be making a choice if firing them all not on a business level but rather on a personal level - not a smart move. Eric would have to HIRE new blood with him having an unknown factor involved as it pertains to the success of the company they will provide for his company. I do not believe his financial status is stable due to the buying and selling of the businesses. Eric knows he can succeed with Ridge as head designer. He knows the company is running successfully enough with Thorne and Felicia within it. He knows he can trust his children although he has been shown he cannot be trusted [fraud committed on Stephanie twice]. There is no reason to think, if banded together Ridge, Thorne, Kristen, and Felicia cannot be as successful in life as their father became when first starting out as an unknown many years ago. Based on yesterday's episode Eric appears to be losing touch with the "younger aged" consumer. This is not a good sign. He would have to rely on a new head designer who can tap into this population and he will never know if he/she will make the contributions to the company that Eric needs. Is he going to rely on Marcus to approve his designs now? Surely, Phoebe and Steffy and Thomas would show loyalty to their father and not towards the Logan's if taking over the family business. Collectively the children have an edge whereas Eric had only himself and Stephanie [and her family's money]. Donna has had her chance to be accepted but all she has done is cause damage and harm to be suffered by the Forrester's in one manner or another whether it is the loss of the company to Nick when lying about Stephanie pushing Jackie over the balcony or when ranting and raving time and again how Stephanie must pay with her being shot and nearly killed. I say - Eric, let them all go and let the games begin! |

At least the show have a different s/l. I said in an earlier post that I wish Jackie and her fashion house would compete with Forrester, like in the old days. Not that this show keeps to any type of consistency...but if Eric did fire the kids - um could there be a mutany when it came to them ganging up on him? - just a thought |

Well here is what I think if you treat someone like a brat then they are going to continue acting like a brat. And to me they are not they are adults and had no excuse of acting like children. |
