First of all, Stephanie didnt' fall asleep in her car and left those kids alone all night long, secondly, Stephanie wasn't so fragile that she had to seek councelling over losing a man SHE dumped. It's a simple case of cause and effect, Brooke's actions of lack of caused the situations that effected the well being of those kids. It was her unreliability to be at home that caused those kids to be left alone by an anixous Donna trying to get to her job. Had Brooke been responsible enough to remember her babysitter had a prior engagement, she would have been home on time so Donna could catch her flight but she didn't, now who's fault is that?

IF Brooke had been stable enough, then the mere fact of Ridge not coming back to her, and her attempts to take Nick from Taylor failed wouldn't have driven her to the point of falling apart. It's her weakness, her fragile state that started the ball to roll on both of those occassions that endangered those kids.

It's not about Stephanie wanting her own son, it's about how did these kids end up being placed in danger, and when you go back over the facts, that all tie Brooke in, bottom line.

No Brooke should have been warned that taking away her children would be the next step if she didnot get help... But with Stephanie bearing her HEART out to Dottie about Brooke's every sin it was inevitable this would happen.

She was warned, then about 12 hours later the kids were surrounded by flames.

EXACTLY, it's not like Stephanie leaped at the FIRST chance to have those kids taken away from Brooke. NO matter how much pouring out of her heart Stephanie may have done, if those kids had NOT been left alone that night, and practically burned to death the very next day, those kids would be home with Brooke now. Stephanie telling the truth about Brooke's past behavior only showed a pattern, they weren't taken because of what Stephanie said, but because of what Brooke did or did not do, that's on Brooke and Brooke only.
