The supposedly "devastated" Rick sure changes colors fast. He and Ashley are now saying Mexico was nothing. But on the plane, Rick told Ashley, "I'm a man that needs real intimacy, emotional and intellectual intimacy between a man and a woman who love and appreciate and respect each other. I haven't had that since you. I'm not trying to discredit what Phoebe and I had, but it's not what we had." Now Rick's saying that his feelings for Ashley were only "chemical, it's not the kind of love I have for Phoebe, that's real." Phoebe may be an immature 18, but for a man going on thirty, Rick's a real jerk. I'm behind Ridge on this one.

Rick was on the rebound from Pheobe, a full grown man who hasn't had any since his fling with Ashley in Paris. HE said exactly what he knew Ashley wanted to hear, he said whatever it took to weaken her defenses. I believe he truly loves Pheobe.

I guess we will soon find out!
Now that Phoebe FINALLY made her decision - let's see how long it takes for Rick to turn up at Ashley's door???

Rick is a little girl control freak. Good for Phobe giving him the kiss off. He is not that hot. I hope she hooks up with constant and flaunt it in Rick's face. Who does he think he is. He is no prince charming.

Ash needs to get over the moping and move to Nicks company. The forresters will only screw her over and over again just like they did brooke.

I think Rick "thought" he wanted Ashley. He even told her that they would be a couple no matter what. Then Pheebs calls because Ridge is in jail and all that changed. Ashley was hooked on him when she came to town but I think that in that moment she knew better but didn't say anything. This is a woman who's been through it with Victor and Nikki Newman, she recognizes the signs. I think she was just getting while the getting was good.

i still believe ash and rick would be hot together. compared to ridge and ash. and let ridge go home alone and concentrate on rj and hope. i say kudos to phoebe for kicking rick to the curb. maybe now rick will develop a pair and go back to ash. its not too late for him and ash and she will get him completely naked ladies.

I agree. I'm with Ridge also, but I do like Rick with Ashley. I know she's old enough to be his mom, but remember Brooke wasn't a real mom when he was growing up. She was to busy sleeping with every Forrester man. So Rick is craving a mother in 1 respect. I think he lusts over Phoebe more than he loves her. What could they have in common except maybe singing. He's thinking with his heart rather than his head. It would be nice if they could bring back "Shane" from the dead. Those 2 had so much chemistry and even though the actor is in his 30's he could pass for mid 20's.
