A year ago he had adjusted to Darla's death was ready to marry Taylor. OK he was angry when he found out Taylor was the one that hit Darla, but he got over it and forgave her. He claimed he still loved her but they called off their marrige for Ally's sake. |

I think that his drinking and popping pills over her is a bit extreme. But that is the B/B for you at times defying logic. Now fast forward to a year later. Thorne is a pill popping wreak that is back to blaming Taylor for Darla's death and is acting bitter over Taylor and Nick's marrige and impending child. It seems like he went from being overly well adjusted to going off the deep end. |

I agree. I could see if it had happened sooner. It would have been more believable if it had happened after he and Taylor broke up. He was doing so well and now he's going down hill much too fast. |

Thorne has always been so stable and dependable. Now a year after Darla's death he is falling apart and popping pills. I can see where they might want something like this for a story line, but IMHO it is just sort of slapped together and is not ringing true. |

The poor man's probably lonely. And Taylor moving on with Nick cant be easy for him to stomach. Maybe he was expecting her to stick around a bit. |

He used Taylor as a crutch, now he is using the pills and alcohol. He pushed it all down and pursued Taylor practically at his wife's funeral. As for Thorne always being the stable one, I strongly disagree. I just posted this in another thread, but I'll give my two cents here, too. Thorne has a long history of not being able to cope with any kind of problem. He shot Ridge in a drug/drunken stupor when Ridge slept with Caroline. He also hooked up with Darla in a drunken stupor when things weren't working out with Macy, which is how they got together in the first place. He also has a long history of being in his brother's shadow and not feeling worthy. Thorne has a lot of emotional issues, and I am glad that they have stayed true to his character with these story lines. |

CristiBB, really good answer. Everyone criticizes the writers, but maybe they keep an eye out for addictive personalities like Thornes, and people who repeat their mistakes (and even their words) with everyone, like Brooke, after all. |

It seems, as you pointed out that Thorne does have a history of "falling" for women while drunk and out of his mind and it looks like he is going to be repeating that pattern. |

Actually I think they hit this one pretty good. Seems like him to me. |

I feel I must comment on this subject. When Darla first died, Thorne was in complete denial. That's how Taylor moved in on him. Now he is having a delayed reaction, which makes the grief so much worse. |
