The Bold and the Beautiful - MESSAGE BOARDS

:~ Am I the only one here tired of the retread and predictable storylines bb has been giving us. I for one would love to see a twist in this ridge/shane storyline. Here's how this story could've went. Ridge is found GUILTY and sent to prison this throws stephanie's and brooke's life into a tailspin, stephanie can't believe her number 1 son is gone and all her meddling and conniving could not keep him out of jail. Watch as brooke finally comes to the realization that ridge truely is her soulmate (she realizes this as she has flash backs of her time with ridge)as he is now in jail we watch as brooke now becomes like a csi detective doing everything and anything to find evidence to get her man out of prison.
We begin to see the break down of a man as we watch rick start to remember that he not ridge shot grant. We see how the guilt ridden rick has a hard time dealing with the fact that ridge took the fall for something he's done.
And finally we see ridge now just prisoner number ##### deal with the being a convict. coping with prison life and his own guilt of how he's treated brooke in the past and the mistakes he's made.

These 3 storylines in my opinion would be quite riviting instead of the retread of a 2 day trial and predictable not guilty veridict.

You're right...it is predictable. I know that Ridge won't go to jail. I'm snoring through that story right now.

I just think the quality of the show has gone down. All these near incestuous stories get me down. One reason I can't support Taylor & Nick is that Nick & Ridge are half brothers. Ridge was married to Taylor, and they had 3 kids. Now Taylor is supposedly pregnant with Nicks child.
What confusion! Ridge will be an uncle to Nicks & Taylors child? What was the point of bringing this couple together? God knows I would have prefered to see Taylor with Storm, or Hector, or another man outside the Forreste/Marone clan. There is nowhere to go with the 4 core actors now. The sl's are recycled over & over.

They need totally new sl's... different subject matter, new faces. I believe the ratings will go lower than they are, because some people will not watch some of the trashy stuff like the invitro mixup/ or non mixup. That is not the kind of entertainment that draws many viewers. If I watch once or twice a week anymore, its only because it follows Y&R, and I haven't changed the station due to going about household chores.

This isn't the only Soap that treats its viewers like idiots. They all do, at least the four I watch. My goodness, over on DOOL they have brought back Stefano DiMeara, yet again. Can't the writers ever get a clue. Life moves on. Why can't Soaps? Oh, and by the way, Rick will be with Ashley because, of course, she'll turn up pregnant. I guess it just took a younger man for her to get over Victor Newman.

I too am tired of the same old s/l's. I have been bored with this soap. It used to be so good, I don't know what happened. I think they need to have a bigger cast. Everyone has been each others mother, uncle, step-brother, step-sister, half cousin twice removed. I remember when they had Jessica and Dylan on. Also that girl Michael. I think back when Sydney Penny was on, they should have persued a relationship with her and Ridge. But no, Ridge is too busy pineing (along with every other man on this show) for Brooke, he couldnt even look at another woman. Its pathetic! They live in L.A. for goddness sakes! I thought L.A. had a much bigger poulation then the Forresters and Marones!

i would have loved for brooke to go out of her way to find evidence to clear ridge and spend all her time proving his innocence. but no bb had to cut this sl way to short for any riveting suspense and drama for the audience.

I hate to play the middle man, truly I do. But since B&B is a 30 minute show, they really need to speed up the normal soap timeline. And, let's be honest, we also complain if soaps drag storyline's out - which is what happens often on 60 minute soaps.

Writers (on soaps) can't win. We're a vocal bunch - but we're an engaged bunch - we love our soaps as much as we love to complain about them!

I'm finished with the B&B. The writers of the progam have no idea of the real world (Iknow its just a show but...)Any thinking person knows that a murder charge (Rick beats charge 6/21/07) for the average person is not dismissed that easily. Come on.................Unless new writers are found, I'm finished with the Bold and Brainless.

It was the incestious storylines, debashing Brooke's character, unendless Stephanie, Ridge now being in middle age with grown children (and still letting MAMA run his life) Bridget going through enough heartache ( by losing 2 babies in one year) for 2 lifetimes,and the Forresters every few years losing control of their company and last but least trashing the Fabluous and CLASSY Jackie by saying she was a prostitute 30 years ago when Nick was a little boy... is what makes me tired of the Bold and the Beautiful at times.
