Why is it that if Steffy or Taylor goes after someone elses man, they are wrong, but Brooke, Donna and Katie have all done the same thing. Katie only once, but she still did it. Double standards yet again for the whiney Logans.

That's not what I read on the board! There were some fans who applauded Katie going after Nick, ones who support Taylor, and saying she deserved him and did nothing wrong, while Bridget was wacked for thinking she had! Brooke's reliance and hook-up with Ridge after she was raped was not "normal!" Donna is over-sexed in her persuit of the Forrester men, as Brooke is, but Taylor is not in the pursuit of the Logan men! Some even feel that Taylor has a right, anytime she wants, to go after a married or engaged Ridge, because Brooke did it! I think it is up to individual interpretation as to when a character does wrong or something mentally unhealthy. It is also up to individual interpretation to know exactly where the boundaries lie and not applaud them when the character crosses them! You can be understanding without being the lead cheerleader in the behavior!

Now I'm just saying, that for every man that Taylor has been with they have pursued her. She hasn't poached or seduced anyone's man. I also have to give her big props for knowing when something isn't working and being the one to back out of a relationship. Right? Now in sleeping with married or engaged men. She hasn't done that. Ridge slept with Taylor and both regretted it for different reasons. He wasn't married and he knew it. Ridge then chose to live with Taylor when he could have gotten a room at a hotel or even an apartment/condo, etc. Ridge wanted to be with Taylor for all of the reasons that she needed to be with him. He loves her, she offers him support and guidance, she loves him, he offers her support and guidance. Whatever the case, the time has passed for them but they remains friends. I wish they were just cordial but...
As for what is deemed moral, hypocritical, damaging, etc, you are right it is individual interpretation. I interpret that turn about is far play if you're anyone but Taylor. Going after your love is right for everyone except Taylor. Bad behavior is condoned for anyone but Taylor or anyone related to Taylor. In other words, whatever indiscretions, over the top, melodramatic meanderings are all fine and dandy for part of the characters, who are excused and rightly punished for their past deeds but anyone else or their family members are deemed immoral, needy, and just plain pathetic. I agree which is why I object to the Logans! That's my individual interpretation.

The question is-Why is Steffy considered bad for doing what Brooke, Donna, Katie have all done-that is going after someone elses man? What? Its alright for some women to get away with it with a slap on the wrist while others are considered horrible? Double standards going on here.

Brooke, Donna, and Katie have never been excused for "going" after a man already in a relationship. The better question is why do some people think it's ok to crucify the Logan's but accept it when Steffy does it?

Most young women have "father" issues to deal with, as they mature! Whether the father was present or not, it depends on how much of an emotional attachment the girl develops towards her father! We know that most men do not invest the emotional effort needed to raise competent children! Young women tend to be drawn to men more like their father! How similar is Bill to Ridge?

3) Kool Touched,

You brought out something that has been hidden. Ridge and Brooke has been playing tag for a great number of soap years. Taylor has been that sedate mother/wife who let the likes of Brooke walk all over her. Ridge allowed it stating with a smile that Brooke was just teasing, she did not mean anthing wrong. Thus, since Taylor did not ever put her foot down on the Brooke subject, Brooke continued to pursue Ridge like he was a single man as she always did no matter who he was with.

Steffie has no respect for her mothers advice since she saw first handed that the agressive, loose women always seem to win out. Taylor didn't put a stop to it and Ridge wouldn't. So in Steffie's mind, she would rather be a Brooke than a loser in love like her mother.
