Quote grandmarose: Stephanie butts in because that one of the things she does best and has enough connections to go through with her plans. This was not the first time Stephanie took Brooke's kids. The first time Brooke had a mental breakdown in Barbados, Stephanie saw fit to take Rick and Bridget and even threw Brooke in jail when Ridge found Brooke and brought her back to her children. The second time she pushed her friend Ruth to go after Brooke's kids. It is not like Stephanie has perfect children. One son shot his own brother over the women they both married and a daughter was so drunk she couldn't remember who she conceived with. No sterling parents in the bunch, except maybe Darla. When Brooke had a mental breakdown, she wasn't able to care for her kids. That is the reason supposedly that Brooke took Jack from Taylor, because Taylor wasn't fit....well neither was Brooke, she still isn't, she's a terrible mother, and I'm sure if Taylor even looks at Jack again, Brooke will once again be after her the way Stephanie has gone after Brooke multiple times. It's just Logan unfair as usual that it's ok for Brooke to do but not ok for anyone else |
grandmarose![]() |
It should have been the responsibility of the father Eric to handle the children when Brooke had her breakdown, but Stephanie took over and even when Ridge found her and brought her back and she needed her children, Stephanie fought it. Brooke took her kids to the cabin to spend some time with them and Stephanie charged her with kidnapping and had her thrown in jail. Stephanie has powerful friends and doesn't mind using them, like Bill Sr., Detective Baker, and the Social Service friend Ruth. In the 20+ years I have been watching it always seemed to me that Brooke was always to blame. |

It was mutual concern, Nick saw that Taylor was having difficulty bonding with the blond baby, because she kept seeing Brooke in him. Nick should not have involved Brooke. |

She keeps telling Katie that she will support her. She never supported Donna either, when Eric was on his death bed, all she wanted was for Ridge and her to run the company. I would not call her sweet, I remember when she kidnapped baby Jack and kept telling Taylor she was an unfit mother. There are times I feel sorry for Brooke, but all her pain is brought on herself. I still think she was responsible for Storm taking his own life. I like her and Ridge together too, they deserve each other. I couldn't believe he turned down President, and told Katie he would not answer to her. Brooke allows him to put down her family. He has never a nice thing to say about any of them. Kidnapped Jack? Oh you mean when Taylor an alcaholic spiked her coffee w/vodka? She did not kidnap Jack she brought him to his father where he would be safe. I would have done the same thing. I couldn't imagine leaving a child w/someone that drinks. Taking a baby from the home of the mother without permission is still kidnapping. While some might think eggs make Brooke, Jack mom, I do not. I have not seen her mother him in sometime. So what you are saying if the mother of an infant was an alcaholic and started drinking again you would leave the infant there is the house because of the law??? Who cares about the damn law an infant life is a million times more important and precious. Brooke knew about Taylor's alcaholic problems and what they caused the Forrester Family - the loss of a loved one this is why she took Jack to Nick's maybe she should have called social service office? Try taking the town drunks kid from his/her home and watch what happens to you! Everyone wants to magnify Taylor's drinking. Remember the night that Darla was hit...a sober person would have hit her on that foggy night, when she fell into the road that night while trying to change that tire. You don't really know that........MAYBE a sober person would have had quicker reflexes than Taylor did. We'll never know, but it's possible that Darla would not have died that night if someone sober was behind the wheel. Hypothetically speaking Taylor would not have hit Darla if the phone calls between she and Phoebe would have gotten through because she would not have been there. Taylor didn't not commit a crime having a drink(s) in her home. She was never declared drunk while driving by the writers only that she had had a drink at home prior to the call for help from an very frightened Phoebe. Many times leading up to the climax of the accident, there had been discussions amongst the characters about being very careful on that particular patch of road because of the fog and curves. Taylor didn't run into Darla more so in a simultaneous occurrence they ran into one another. Darla fell into the road, Taylor did not swerve off the road into Darla or else Phoebe and the car would have been hit. It was on a canyon road with inches on each side to danger. Judgment call is that everyone could have called road side service but no one did. They wrote Darla out of the show and decided to use Taylor as the avenue for that purpose. It worked two fold, get rid of Darla and work to destroy Taylor's rep as a good solid character. They needed to create more flaws with her character to ensure that she could at least be on a minimum footing with Brooke. It worked. Whenever someone talks about Taylor now they always bring up alcoholism and Darla's death and not bonding with baby Jack. Yep, the writers have gotten what they wanted, a flawed character who has no redeeming qualities, right? |

Pretty good summation of what happened the night Taylor hit Darla with her car! Taylor did admit to the court later that she had had nearly an entire bottle of wine! This caused her to lose her license and recieve probation time. Through Storm's defense and Thorne's testimony, the court found her not guilty in Darla's death! They declared it was an accident! |

Well I'm STILL trying to like Brooke, but can't. We are suppose to feel for her when she has something happen to her, or recognize when she does something good. Yet, were suppose to just overlook her misdeeds to her own daughter, no less? Brooke is no better than anyone else on this show. |

Quote Touched: Will we ever see a cease fire in the Bridge/Tridge Wars? Hmmm, ending the war? I have an idea, if Taylor is never brought up in a negative fashion by a Brooke fan in a Brooke thread that would probably end the war. However, I haven't seen that happen, but there is still time. As a Taylor fan, I'm defending my girl if the statement is clearly and outrageously false. |
