I think Brooke is too much of an independent woman than to be happy enough to use Rigde's VISA. She was giving up her entire life's work and earnings to get back Ridge's dream for him and to me that seemed like a very selfless act!!!

Now if Taylor had done the same thing for Ridge...she would have been unanimously voted a Double Sainthood by now!!!

And I'm sorry I seriously disagree with the statement that Brooke is an independent woman. Hardly! Otherwise she wouldn't have chased after Ridge and every other man all these years. She only is strong when she has a man in her bed to go home to, otherwise she falls apart, to me that does not say independent.

I think she was making a sacrifice for sure, but until she's a middle class woman working for a middle class wage I don't see it as being as grandious as she is giving up everything she's ever had. If she wanted a brand new mercedes, she'd still be able to buy one. When she CAN'T is when it becomes a HUGE sacrifice of her giving up everything.

I have wondered the same thing. If Brooke has so many assets - think of what could have happened had Brooke, Ridge and Eric combined most of their assets! Couldn't they all have saved FC??? Aren't they all rich in their personal lives apart from FC??? Why was it just Brooke willing to sacrifice all for FC??? Shame on the rest of them.

Good point! Why didn't they all pool their money and make sure the loan was paid off? Why should only Brooke be the one who pays?

So what you are saying if the mother of an infant was an alcaholic and started drinking again you would leave the infant there is the house because of the law??? Who cares about the damn law an infant life is a million times more important and precious. Brooke knew about Taylor's alcaholic problems and what they caused the Forrester Family - the loss of a loved one this is why she took Jack to Nick's maybe she should have called social service office?

When society puts a drunks rights ahead of an innocent child then there is something morally wrong. No wonder we have all these messed up teens shootings and crimes in schools, out on the streets etc.....Horrible.

Brklyn: Because this is such a serious matter and some people may have experienced loss through an alcoholic related accident/incident, I'm going to defer talking about this "soap" incident any further. Emotions can get very high. I'm only talking about the characters on the show and of course the writers. Reality is what it is and millions die needlessly because of drunk drivers and a host of other horrible realities.

They did think about pooling all their resources and they discovered if they didn't it wouldn't be enough and if the company failed they would be shopping at Walmart. Funny the writers forgot that they didn't have enough money to pay the 100 million they owed, so how could brooke pay it by herself?

ITA she advised them to sell thinking that she can run the company while Katie sits there smiling and looking stupid. Once she realized that was not the case she decided to give up her assets knowing darn well Bill wasn't going to take the bait. I am not a Brooke hater but a watcher and what I watched was not a sacrifice but a way to save face. It's wierd that everything that Stephanie does for her family is deemed as evil yet Brooke does something after the fact that she could have done before and it's the greatest love ever shown to man. Wow! Just my view on it.

When Brooke was out and her kids almost burned down the house if Taylor would have taken her kids would she like it? When Ridge and Stepahnie took the kids from her she felt like poop. Brooke was neglectful int at situation. Taylor was depressed and with due cause. She fine. Like someone said Alcohlism is a sickness which was induced by Taylor's depression. Brooke was not there to monitor how mauch Taylor drank. Did she drink a glass or a bottle? She was wrong to take Jack away not knowing exactly how much she actually drank. She assumed that the situation will cause aylor to drink. So her assumpion made her the first three letters of the word assumption. No matter how she wants to make it look like she used her weakness for her gain. And I am sure you felt the same way when Stephanie claimed that Brooke nyphomania and addiction to men will place her children in danger. If you didn't agree with Stephanie then , you shouldn't agree with Brooke. Just my opinion

a standing ovation to you sandee!! well said, when it happened to Brooke for being negletful of her kids why it was just horrific that Stephanie butted in to try to protect them. But as usual if it's Brooke doing it, it's accepted, and supported.

Stephanie butts in because that one of the things she does best and has enough connections to go through with her plans. This was not the first time Stephanie took Brooke's kids. The first time Brooke had a mental breakdown in Barbados, Stephanie saw fit to take Rick and Bridget and even threw Brooke in jail when Ridge found Brooke and brought her back to her children. The second time she pushed her friend Ruth to go after Brooke's kids. It is not like Stephanie has perfect children. One son shot his own brother over the women they both married and a daughter was so drunk she couldn't remember who she conceived with. No sterling parents in the bunch, except maybe Darla.

You don't really know that........MAYBE a sober person would have had quicker reflexes than Taylor did. We'll never know, but it's possible that Darla would not have died that night if someone sober was behind the wheel.
