I guess I missed the part where Taylor was flirtatious in the slightest way. Or even offered a shoulder to Ridge.
It's ok for Brooke to be around Nick, and Eric. Two people that she has already been with numerous times, and she can just be friendly...but not Taylor and Ridge?
Sounds fair to me. From the "spoilers", it looks like Taylor is far from thinking about Ridge.
Just because their children are grown doesn't mean they don't have anything to talk about as adults.
Supposedly Ridge is over the moon crazy about Brooke, if she isn't worried about it why the huge outcry?
Oh, because it is Taylor doing it. Obvious.

One of the poster's hit it right on w/an actress being used to fill in some of the SL scenes etc....Anyway the fact when an actor or actress is only used to complete a scene here or there speaks volumes to me.

Quote BetchaDidntKnow: Okay, this is not about Taylor, Ridge or Brooke and their history. This is about the writers using a good actress as a filler just to give her air time. Wrong! We should see her talking to her kids about the happenings at her home or office not in Ridge's office. Dag, this is dumb.
I'm not trying to raise the situation of how some viewers see Taylor. This is about poor character use. I felt the same way when Brooke walked in on Nick and Bridgette a month or so ago. It was dumb and just away to add air time for that specific character.
I don't see the writers trying to create a romantic atmosphere between Ridge and Taylor (Thank Goodness) but I see them keeping her as his support network which just shouldn't be the case.
Ex or not she has no business supporting him after he dismissed her and got back with his ex, while she (Taylor) was still wearing his ring with expectations. Taylor, should still be smarting over that episode and not a part of his support network. She doesn't have to wish him ill, just not be there front and center. Tasteless and undeserving of the character. I had hoped that the writers would re-build her character with no involvement with Ridge (one can only hope).
As far as some of the posts about Taylor chasing Ridge, it has happened with Brooke on more than one occasion in the past. It's old news which to keep bringing up brings out the worst blood in us posters.

I agree wtih you, it is about poor character use. Just a few weeks ago, fresh from her nuptials getting run over by a horse at the beach house, we see Taylor going to a business convention looking bright, fresh eyed and ready to face the world. She didn't appear like she was locked in her room, sucking on her thumb, and rolled up in a fetal position from this latest fiasco with Ridge.

So...why would she be at Ridge's office to offer him any type of comfort...she should be living her own life. I can see Steffy and Thomas dropping by to console their dad, but why was Taylor there? Why does this show continue to show Taylor as a wishy-washy sorta-feminist. Either paint the woman strong and separate from Ridge, or paint her as Brooke!

These writers are so ridiculous and have lost all creative juices when it comes to Taylor.

Okay I do not understand why all these questions about the usage or what to do w/Taylor? Please try and and remember this shows roots and history. When the show aired is was about the interaction of 3 families Forrester's, Logans's (Main Families) and the Spencer's (Bill and Caroline). These families are the foundation of this show...Then the Spectra clan came in and they were in competition w/the Forrester's now it is Jackie M. This is only a 30 minute show and every character on this show has to be tied in with the core families (Forrester & Logan's)!
Therefore any new character or character's that are on this show have to be somehow tied in w/these families. Taylor I agree needs a new man in her life this is why Stephen Logan may work, I do not want to say Thorne because they have been there and done that, but then again if Thorne and Taylor were on equal footing as far as feelings went it may work.

Let's be clear--I don't need anyone on this board to tell me how to form my opinions. I don't need a history lesson on this show, I've watched it since the day 'Capitol' was cancelled.

My opinions about the writers depiction of Taylor stands, and I'm not the only one who feels this way. I don't need to give countless explanations as to why Taylor is depicted as the go to victim of despair all of the time--it's been pretty clear from the writing.

I would appreciate that my post is not jumped on as some kind of personal attack of what 'I need to know.' This is a message board, full of opinions. I appreciate your posts, but I don't share your view.

Please post your thoughts but don't impress them on me.

If that is how mine came across that was not my intention. I was only pointing out why the writer's may be using Taylor is such scenes because of the history of this show. I also believe Mr. Bell mentioned something similar in an interview a few years back.
I do not like Taylor w/Ridge but I would like to see her used in different plots and not always running to Ridge's office etc....I would like to see a strong Taylor w/someone who cares about her but again I am afraid that because of the history of this show they may not bring on a new character unless it ties in to the Forrester's or Logan family and the fashion business. Look at Bridget she was this brilliant doctor turned designer.

The problem is that Brooke don't go to Nick, Ridge and Eric to bad mouth Taylor, she just do what she gotta do to get them and Taylor is never a second thought because to be real Brooke don't really see Taylor as real a threat, she know how those men feel about her and Taylor never been real competition for Brooke all these years come to think of it, just look at the outcome.

Taylor also jumped right on in by saying I can't believe Brooke is standing by Katie in all of this and not her husband, while Ridge is there pouting in the office. Why she even have to go there? She wrong and needs to shut up and lend him a ear if he wants it but quit speaking ill of his wife because it never worked for her dumb butt in the past and what make her think it's gonna work now? Why Taylor making assumptions? she desperate that's why and it's pathetic.

Taylor and Steffy always have to slam Brooke and Jackie unnecessarily because the men they want prefer to be with someone else? I don't like what's going on with Katie and Bill but Brooke and Donna are Katie's sisters and trying to make the best of a bad situation and are entitled to try to be supportive to their sister and it isn't easy for them but they trying their best to do it. What right does Taylor have to go in there asking why? "NONE" let it go dummy. She just like Stephanie and don't know when to stop.
