The only reason she got controling interst of the company at one time was because of her divorce settlement with Eric. As far as Donna is concerned she had even less experiance than Brooke. She was a waitress then a model. Had it not been for her marrige to Eric she would have nowhere near the influance at Forrester that she does. The fact is, as Bill pointed out Eric and Ridge may well be brillient designers but their buisnesss ense has run Forrester into the ground. I really believe that the only reason Forrester florished as well as it had in the past was because of Stephanie's buisness sense and her guideance. Forrester sisn't have near the money troubles that it has found itself in recently when Stephanie was there. I will also say if Eric had not booted Stephine out, he would not have found himself in the position for the company to be vunerable for a take over. Katie may not be the most experianced person for the job, but she has something Ridge and Eric don't, a head for buisness. She has enough sense to step back and look at things without getting caught up in the emotion of it and that is why I think she will grow into the job. Eric, Ridge and Brooke shoud quit whineing about the fact that Bill bought the company and start being thankful that they didn't lose everything. Bill has not tried to interfer with their creativity at all, but the are crying that their hands are tied. Bill himself told them they need to let him do what he does best (run the buisness end of things) while they do what they do best (design) if they would stop licking their wounds and do that they may just be surprised at how successful they would all be. OMG!! Amen!! Excellent post!! I'll second that. excellent post Donna didn't even know she could do or say anything until Owen told her. Brooke would have fallen flat on her face if not for Connor Davis. She couldn't even look at any business transactions without him. Since then she has always seen herself and Ridge as the new Stephanie and Eric. Her in control and him designing, just like them. They talk to Katie about family first but as one poster put it Brooke hasn't always put family before what she wanted and Donna didn't either. Remember Donna was the one who made it her mission to become the top FC model over Brooke in Brooke's bedroom line. Yes Brooke suggested she model some clothes, but she was damn upset when they had Donna wear the show stopper the first time. But hey Donna was on a mission of her own, and we now know what it was. |
