Many mention that Eric had little or nothing to do w/raising his kids. I disagree how many times has Ridge mentioned that he was just a kid when he started coming to Forrester and work by Eric's side. Kristen thought Stephanie wanted to get rid of her and send her over to be w/her dad at Forrester's. (This conversation came up when Kristen was married to Tony and Thorne and Brooke were married).
Thorne always felt left out by his mother and mentioned this to Eric all the time and he worked closely w/Eric for years as well.
Felicia the baby she was spoiled by Eric and she is closer to her dad.
Other than Ridge, all the others were closer to Eric...Stephanie was always in Ridge's life and let go of everything else. So why would anyone say she was the parent here?

I adore Stephanie! No one is a perfect parent, but I am sure that running a family business and dealing with a husband who was always chasing women could not have been easy for her. It is very obvious that Stephanie was a devoted wife and mother to her children. Stephanie did for her children where Eric was always distracted. I don't say that Eric was not a good father, he certainly was no great father. Look a Thorn and how horrible he has always treated him and Thorne is his son! Christian and her sister Alicia seemed to be closer to their dad, but I dare say he wasn't so there for them either. I never got the impression that Eric was that great of a dad, but I always knew that it took everything that Stephanie had to keep him straight and raise her children. She loves her children and they all know it. When you can become the age of Stephanie and have your children love you as her children do, I definately believe she was a great mother to them. When you see how Eric has thrown over his children for the Logan spawns, you have to wonder just what in world kind of father he ever was.
