I'm here.......I just got back last night from a 10 day vacation. I only watched a couple of episodes of B&B while I was gone. Not sure what I missed, but on Friday's show, I just shook my head over Katie seemingly throwing the Forrester's under the bus in favor of BS (Bill Spencer.. actually BS is a pretty good tag for him since that's what he's full of! LOL) Anyway...Brooke and Donna were foolish to think that Katie would put family before her love for him. She sure didn't do that when she set her eyes on Nick after what Bridget had done for her, and she wouldn't do it now. Katie has a ton of emotional baggage from growing up "the ugly duckling" compared to her sisters (not that I think she's ugly now, in any way...I think she's attractive..not beautiful, but attractive, certainly) plus the fact that she was just never as polished or accomplished as Brooke or even Donna. (I'm talking how I think she feels about herself, not how any of us feel about her.) So....she is absolutely heady over how Bill is playing on her every insecurity and milking her for all she's worth to get what he wants from the Forresters. I think Katie is an interesting character, but I'm just not as impressed with her now that she's fallen for Bill as I was before when SHE seemed to be in control of him. IMO, she's lost control completely. He's got her right where he wants (and needs) her. I do think down the road she will realize how she was duped, and I do think Brooke and Ridge will end up back in charge.....someday. Oh, one question.....I saw Rocco on the show Friday. Wasn't this the guy who Katie had a crush on when she was a teenager? I was thinking he was friends with Storm, and Katie overheard him talking to someone else one day and he called her "pizza face" or something rude like that referring to her bad acne. Anyone else remember anything like that? |

On that note, I have noticed that all the B&B boards are down, all the ones you mentioned are on less and less. Can only speak for myself, but sometimes it is just not worth trying to have a good opinion on Brooke, you can almost bet you will be taken down for it and I will not put myself thru all of that, that is not the point of these threads. In my opinion most all Brooke fans are very respectful while sometimes the response to that is any thing but and it is not worth getting banned or getting screamed at, so in turn I do mostly reading and enjoy not having someone get in my face because I like Brooke and the other Logans, however Katie is not amongst them at the moment. Admin has taken care of a lot of this abuse, so maybe soon all the favorites will return and the boards will be fun again. I have noticed on the update site, there might be one Brooke fan, but on the whole there are none that post on it anymore, myself included. Hey Ginger2, I wondered what happened to you, I have had company for three weeks so have not been on like I usually am. Hope your trip was a good one and that you will be back on more often. Maybe vicc and michaelle will be back soon as well. I do read vicc, Touched, BoldMama, BKLYN on other threads.....love them!! Talk about some savvy posters.. I feel like you AnnLizMat....had rather not chance the battlescars because I am not nearly as versed as the other ladies are, just sit back and let them fight the battle for me...sort of like a chicken I guess!! Having earned a few scars is the main reason that I chose to not post a lot but thanks goodness for the other Brooke fans that will get in there and battle..... |

I'd have to agree........Brookies are for the most part VERY respectful and know how to debate the issue without name calling and ugliness. I hope that will always continue. Everyone has a right to their opinion and there just isn't any place for the nastiness that sometimes goes on against an unpopular opinion. I did notice a real surge in the trouble after Ridge chose Brooke over Taylor. LOL The administration here does a very good job of keeping people in line, and I appreciate that! This is a much nicer board that others I've posted on. It isn't easy being a Brookie some days.....that's for sure!

If I am not mistaken I believe Katie had a crush on Rocco, but he was interested in Donna. Donna set up a date with Rocco for Katie and Katie really liked him, but it was Donna he wanted. I preferred Nancy Sloan as Katie. She was sweeter. This new Katie came across more self-righteous since she came on. She thinks she is in control, but Bill is in command. |

LOL I have to agree about Katie, too.....she only thinks she's in control, but she's in way over her head. Agree about the actress, too. Nothing sweet about this Katie. I am also a Brookie....and I love Bridge. RM and KKL are the bomb and by far the best supercouple this show has even had. Batie is ok but Bill's voice is starting to annoy me, is he trying to become like Eric with that voice? BTW, it appears that Bill may become interested in Steffy next, where will that leave Katie? Jackie Marone called it when she mentioned that Katie is a horrible person nothing like Brooke or Bridget. |

You know I love the show and all you Brookies are great. Tilda and Shade even though we sometimes don't agree I love reading your post, after all it is a soap and we can get it off our chest and make ourselves feel better, or better yet sometimes we can make our point. It is all good. Like I stated before this is a pretty nice board. Thank you AnnLizMat for this lovely post. |
