They write the characters for us to either love or hate. Usually no inbetween. This is just a message board. People who watch the show, this is just for FUN.
People shouldn't get so upset over others making fun or talking trash about their characters. It's MAKE BELIEVE. The comments are about a made up person, doing made up things.
Who cares? Why get so upset if someone calls Brooke a tramp? Or Stephanie a witch? It is what the writers write for their character to be.
Quit bashing on people who are on the other side of the fence. Everyone bashes the people who like Taylor or Stephanie, how mean and nasty they are. But on the otherhand they are saying mean and nasty things themselves.
It is rediculous.
We all disagree to some point about everything. It doesn't make us bad people just because we are commenting on a MAKE BELIEVE PERSON.
It isn't real. Neither are the comments.
If we get this upset over it, the writers must be doing a good job. It is what they intend.

Right On Judy!!! I disagree that the writers are doing a good job, but, the FACT that this is all fiction is true. We all are passionate about certain characters and even get angry and disapointed with our own. However, the threads are for comments and enjoyment. You are right it is silly to take this stuff seriously.
We can be and are open with our opinions without being nasty. Most I see are just our personal opinion, I don't however believe that our thread people are targeting each other, more likely we are identifying with our characters and wish that we could be so well protected as we try to bring out and show the best qualities of our characters or just care for them unconditionally.(right or wrong).
Come on yall, we are a happy cohesive group, and good or bad, you really make my day when I get a chance to toon in.

May we start by eliminating, forever, the use of the term "Brookaloonies!" I believe fans, who like Brooke, are the only ones this type of bashing is aimed at!

Also, it would be nice if posters reread the guidelines regarding posting and adhered to them! Respect is not a one-way street, it goes both ways!

To me, this show is the only one that purposely causes fanbases to argue! Y&R had started that with Sharon and Phyllis, and I don't know if the show or the actresses grew tired of it and have worked to dispell this!

The fact is that the actors and actresses get along well with each other, because their characters are pivoted against each other and it's believable! If they didn't work together, it would show.

They say there is no such thing as bad publicity! But doesn't bad publicity garner so much more attention than good publicity? And any publicity is welcomed by the shows producers and execs! We need to recognize that we are being used in that way! The producers need to realize that it is not necessary to do this in order to garner attendance to the soap!
