Since when is Eric or Brooke for that matter sentimental over the beach house? The writers were all wrong with this part of the s/l. If anyone would have any lasting memories it would be Ridge. Brooke, Eric and Rick were only there for less than a full S/L. Anyway, I thought the true owner of the property was Taylor. On her rise from the dead the property should have reverted back to her. That line about "working a trade with Steffers for the property" by Eric was just plain weak and unbelievable.

I believe Brooke was living at the beach house when she had Rick! Ridge would have inherited the property, once Taylor "died!" It's quite possible that Eric bought the property when he reacquired FC! Somehow, it became Stephanie's beach house, which he recently indicated that he managed to pursuade her to return it to him.

They have an "itis" for this, but it hasn't been quite identified!
