Did BROOKE ever pay for anything that she did' How long did it take for Eric to forgive her, when he learned that Hope's father was his former son-in-law? AFAIR all Brooke had to do was to shed a few crocodile tears, whine about how sorry she was, that she didn't mean no harm, that she was oh-so-confused... and Eric forgave her in a NY minute!  But when he learned that Ridge was MASSIMO'S son, he threw Stephanie out on her butt. Talk about double measure...

Thorne hasn't paid for stealing Eric's designs and giving them to Spectra, making that company a ton of money, either! And while we're on it, Felicia helped Jake MacLaine steal the BeLieF formula...for Spectra...helping them to make another ton of money. Rick is just following in his older siblings footsteps! |

Why, why must we go so far back in history to make points and compare a specific individuals misdeeds to another persons misdeeds 20 years ago. I know that things happened in the past but to continue to throw old stuff up, especially for characters who haven't been on "any" front burner in years, is exhausting to try to remember it all and the circumstances behind the deeds. |

One deed does not forgive the other deed, but this thread is wasted on hypocrisy! Why should Rick be punished for stealing designs when Thomas is not punished for attempted murder, a far worse crime? Eric should be brought up on charges of hiring illegal aliens and supplying false SSAN's! Why harp? |

I believe we go back into history as a rebuttal to the accusations that are made against an individual character. A lot of the remarks made against Brooke are also past history, yet they are continuously brought up, so some of us that have been watching a long time just want to put things in perspective. Ricks was going through a rough patch as was Thorne and Felicia when they betrayed their father. Heck Thorne even took his inheritance and blew it at Spectra's, yet he came back and his father forgave him. Why shouldn't Rick be forgiven. Everyone defends their favorites. |

However, interpretation of facts is often the problem that I run into so I don't even try to convince another die hard of how I thought it was because they will not see it that way today as they probably didn't see it that way in the past. |
