I am so glad that the show is focussing on the heart of what makes it great - fashion, business wars, espionage, etc. etc. It is about time we see the economy wreak havoc on the soaps. Even though soaps are an escape, there are some things in this world that are inescapable. It is refreshing seeing these characters deal with real life issues even though they aren't dealing with the issues of us common folks, like our jobs being in jeopardy or losing our homes, etc., but the fact that the bank forclosed on the company after being 39 minutes late added an air of realism that has been lacking for a while. It will be a treat to see how the Forresters deal with this latest dillemma and resolve this issue... |

I totally agree. I am sure fashion houses are having a tough time in reality so why not show it on the soaps but a bank calling a $100 million loan because the payment was 39 minutes late? I am having a hard time wrapping my brain around that one. Seems a bit far-fetched. The rest of the corporate intrigue, takeovers, etc. is just great. When the dust settles and Forrester is again the reigning champ Eric should buy that bank and fire all the loan officers who threw Forrester under the financial bus! |

I agree the timeframe of 39 minutes late was a bit much, but I also thought it was a nice touch for the simple fact that the writers did not make the company invincible in the face of a recoiling economy, and Forrester wasn't above being knocked down a peg or two. |

It wouldn't have happened if Bill didn't wave his checkbook in front the banker's face though. Technically maybe the banker had every right even though in the real world even the banks are not that harsh. |
