How quickly he forgets what happened. Eric has ALWAYS had a "sickness" which I christened "political alzheimer". Now I really DON'T want to make fun of that terrible sickness called Alzheimer, I just want to define Eric's "sickness": He always conveniently forgot everything that Steph did for him and took the easy way out of a conflict with her: Running to a woman who worshipped the ground he walked over whining how misunderstood he was, how bossy his wife, how starved for love and affection. If someone didn'twant to play after Eric's rules any more and quit FC, he just shrugged it off and got somebodey else to fill the place, no matter WHO it was: whether it was Ridge, after failing to get FC back for the family when Brooke was pregnant with Hope, or Thorne after he was demoted from president of FC to the cellar-office-son again, then recently Thorne and Felicia.... The sad thing is: There is ALWAYS someone willing to pick up the shreds and to proceed where the former employee a.k.a. son/daughter/wife left things. [SARCASM] I guess Thorne and Felicia had hardly left the building, when Eric promoted Marcus from ... uh... errand-boy to the cellar office. Marcus of course was SOOOOOO OVERWHELMED by that kindness and graciousness of his majesty king Eric, that he didn't realise, that his new office-chair was still warm, because Thorne had sat there only minutes ago! [/SARCASM] I like Marcus, especially because he is one of the few afro-americans in this show. BUT I dearly wish, he wouldn't constantly kiss Eric's feet and a$$!!! He is in favour now, because he is the good new son. But what happens, if he realises that his real father was involved in the takeover and DARES to defend him to his "new father" the almighty Eric or even to Ridge? Eridge don't like people with a different opinion, they ridicule them, boss them around and try their utmost (sometimes even dirty tricks) to destroy them. |

Judy and Swantje-Both of you just wrote most excellent posts. Everyone is so quick to blame Stephanie only for her snd Erics problems over the years. Everything you guys said about Eric is so true. Great posts! |
