Being happy that Taylor is out of the triangle, doesn't mean we all of a sudden have to love and respect Brooke. She deserves no respect. Neither does Ridge. And Brooke fans, frequently rake Taylor over the coals calling her all kinds of names. Is that baiting? Calling Brooke tacky is a name? How precious is she? My example of tacky was the frequent sex in the company steam room, and then I am accused of name calling and baiting. I repeat I am very happy over the breakup. I have never liked Brooke, never will. I didn't like her before Taylor came on the show. Aren't I allowed to hate a character? Isn't that what the soaps are about? You love some, you hate some. Don't take it so personal as if you know "Brooke", or she is your mom or something. If I or others happen to think she is skanky, then we are allowed to do so. Why jump on the people for speaking their mind. It's all in fun, until someone accuses you of baiting them. An opionion isn't baiting you. You can post your feelings right back without calling out the poster for being a bad person. Half the people like Brooke, half like Taylor. Or a good many don't like either. And people call Stephanie and Taylor names each and everyday, everyday. Call them out on it as well if you are that sensitive. |

I don't have a problem with you liking Taylor, good for you! I am GLAD that Taylor has moved on with her life (no issues there). My issue, is Brooke and Ridge barely bring Taylor's name up and it's a big deal. They have moved on and from the looks of it so has Taylor. Trust, I certainly don't want her to be concerned with Ridge, because it's obvious he isn't concerned with her. Lord only knows that I could care-less about her myself. Taylor, may not have been written as a weak character at first, but that certainly isn't the case now. I don't/won't ever like her and I'm fine with that. It's obvious you don't like Brooke and I'm fine with that also. |

I will say this; no one has ever asked you to love or respect Brooke. It's obvious that you don't. I feel the exact same way about Taylor and I will never change my feelings regarding her. Ever. The thing with me is, although I can't stand Taylor, I've never resorted to calling her out of her name. That's something I don't do and it's also against the rules on this board. Have a good one. |

Its not so much that i dont want to like Brooke because I would like to but if she could give a person a reason to speak good about her and not always be so selfish and self absorbed I could give her some credit. Some of you Brooke fans have given Taylor alot of credit and spoken good things about her because thats the type of person she is shes a very positive character so you cant help but say good things at times but Brooke she just cant do anything right at most times for taylor fans to accept her. Of course Ridge is concerned for Taylor. She is the mother of his kids, he will always show concern for her in that sense only. Some of the Brooke fans that you mentioned have given Taylor credit and have said positive things about her, shows the type of people they are. They can dislike her, point out something positive about her, and still have much love for Brooke. Brooke has made many, mistakes over the years, but she has also changed for the better and if you can't see the change in this character, then nothing else I say will make a difference. |

Brooke has done many decent deeds that somehow get overlooked because of who people think she is. She saved Taylor when she was hypnotized, she was the one that convinced Ridge to turn himself in after Shane's death, she came back because Stephanie asked when Ridge had a heart attack, she gave Stephanie a beautiful family album when she was depressed, she had her children draw pictures to give to Stephanie when she was in the hospital after Sheila poisoned her, she forgave her for part in the rape, she brought up her children to love and respect Stephanie. These are just a few of what I would call decent acts. Most of the characters on this soap are decent human beings. |

tilda, I second ann137...great post from a Taylor fan to a Brooke fan, too bad your kindness and having an open mind is not shared by all. It is fun to have discussions that are not just exactly alike and I welcome them. Mostly I like reading because you ladies are gooooodddd at it, me not so much. |

I am not prejudiced against any couple in particular, but sometimes I get tired of the kissy-face and huggy-body instead of actual good dialogue. Yes, some of it is tacky. When my son was quite young and there was any type of kissing or romance on the TV screen or in a movie, his comment was always, "Ugh. More playboy stuff" or "tell me when the playboy stuff is over." Sometimes I feel the same way. |

Echo I agree with you, sometimes I wished the SLs would show more interaction with the kids. I really liked Nick with Hope and RJ. Haven't seen to much of Felicia's son or Ally. I also loved Thorne and Macy singing, as well as Rick and Phoebe. I also really enjoy reading the Boards, there are alot of fun and witty people, even the ones that don't agree. |

Enjoy!! Hi shorty1943--you are refreshing. I agree with you that we don't all think alike and the Board is better for it. I also like humor in posts. Sometimes I respond to posters who are derogatory, and those who make-up/twist the SL for their own personal agenda. I have also been known to respond to "off the wall" ridiculous perspectives that spout invalid garbage seemingly to bait. Often the baiters accuse others of what they are actually guilty of--so they write with forked tongue. It is funny to see them repeat what others have already said--echo-- guess they couldn't think of something new-- but it makes them feel better to hear themselves talk. I do not agree that my so-called insinuations are the same as those that I respond to (which fit in the mentioned categories). My posts have a calibre difference and at least some tact. I don't respond to everyone I disagree with. I have even said positive things about Taylor and Stephanie..... It is amusing to read omnipotent comments like "no one cares"...how can one be so all-knowing while mistaking that a certain description was pointed to them? Maybe I will lighten up... And-Perhaps there should be more care for me -if I am like a saint. Is that like Taylor is a saint? Make sense? Oh yes--do stop it. I'm don3 with this thread. shorty1943--I will be looking for your posts on the Board. |
