She barely knows Marcus, and in the same conversation she and Justin were saying how remarkable Marus is. What a great job his parents did of raising him to be this fantastic man. Then when she says Eric wants to adopt him, and this is the first time in his life he is stable.
That doesn't make a lick of sense. How could he be that great, and the parents did that great but yet now that Eric is in his life, he is stable?
Eric is not a stable person himself, let alone make a young man who barely knows him feel secure and stable. His parents that already adopted and raised him made him into this supposedly fantastic person. Give them some credit, and then take it back to make Eric sound great.
This is as lame of a statement as when she said she had never seen Marcus this happy his whole life. She hasn't even known him his whole life, she has no idea how happy he was when he was a baby, toddler, child, a teenager.
She should just quit with trying to justify, or pretend that she even knows him.
