Quote vicc: michaelee--I disagree that Brooke is a bad mother.
She is a very loving mother.
It is silly when posters make remarks that Brooke isn't spending time with her children--when it is just not brought into the SL with airtime.
The mistake with Deacon was certainly not good, but even that is not as bad as the bashers like to make it. There was no hot steamy affair. Brooke knew it was a mistake and stopped it.
However there were good things that came from
Brooke giving in to Deacon's advances--Bridget saw what a slime she was married to and Hope was born.
Brooke has been a good mother to Hope despite who her father is. Brooke is not the kind of mother to give her child up due to biological parentage.

A mother is also human and deserves her own life and happiness. Brooke has never neglected her children.

A parent has the responsibility to raise a child--they do not owe their whole existence to a son or daughter when they become an adult. The adult is then responsible for himself. The parent is entitled to be happy and make personal choices without interference from an adult child.
Of course the hope is that everyone will be happy, but in the case of Rick and the mean, disrespectful behavior that
he has shown--I think Brooke was too light on him.
I hope Rick is sincere regarding his change of heart.

Stephanie and Taylor certainly have no credence in saying that Brooke is not a good mother. Brooke has been a better mother than both of them.
Talk is cheap. They talk the talk but fall very short in modeling the walk.
And on that note--it is a shame that your thread was intruded on in the nasty manner that you so plainly tried to avoid. Initially--any mention of Taylor was handled without bashing. My guess is that you went back and edited a post because you got so tired of the intruded insults.

Those who seem to circle the Board and swoop in with their negativity--just can't refrain from being spoilers.

Brookies in general do not post nearly as exaggerated
or nasty--and negativity is in response to over the top attacks.
These attackers falsely state that Brookies exhibit the same kind of posts--not even close.

Talking respect and class is meaningless if you don't exemplify it.
The truth is clearly there for all to see.

As we have noticed before--
Brooke wasn't on the screen today--
but the last thread I saw posted tonight was about Brooke.
She remains on the mind of the bashers and the fans.

This is a great thread...
Oh Yeah...the truth is plain to see...

vicc:
Thank you so much for writing about this being a great thread, just makes me so sad that it did not stay that way. It was nice to be able to read about KKL/BLF from people that love and appreciate what a fine lady she is, both on and off the screen..michaelee, thanks for the thought anyway, we Brookies do appreciate your making an attempt at it!! I am just not at all interested in some of the thoughts that were shared on this site, especially the ones that were slamming Brooke...

Brooke may have been called out by the three men mentioned in an above post, but those same three men still love and support her. She will always have them because she doesn't pretend to be something she isn't. Has she made mistakes? Yes, just like everyone on this soap. Will she continue to make mistakes? Probably, just like everyone on this soap.

Who dont these 3 men not love? they love just about anybody who allows them to get close to them Id say. But this will never change the fact that Brooke is a lowlife or that a man will always need to be in her life for her to move foward.

Billsboy, I love your post. I still remember how the Forresters tried to trick Brooke. They thought they had the sign papers and Stephanie came over to gloat and to told her she might as well jump off the balcony. Connor found her in tears and distraught. I loved the look on their faces when they found out their document was not signed. Connor always protected her. I wished they had left them as a couple. She fought back and won. She was without a man for quite some time raising Bridget and Rick while Ridge and Taylor were the ones hitting the sheets all the time. She is a survivor and I believe could have done quite well without Ridge.

I like KKL-she is a great actress, she portrays the character of Brooke very well. I just hate Brooke, the character. The writers have made her appear too needy and obsessed with the Forresters. I can understand her obsession with Ridge, but come on-marrying Eric and having his children after saying Ridge was the love of her life? Even if Ridge dumped her way back then for Taylor, she should have told Eric to go fly a kite.

Shade, I think when Ridge married Caroline, Brooke was heartbroken, she was still very young and naive, Ridge was her first love, yes she was a virgin when had sex with
Ridge. Eric was very suave and sophisticated, he had already cheated on Stephanie with models and with Margo his assistant. He fell in love with Brooke when he was trying to comfort her, she got pregnant, and they got married. Sometimes our lives get all tangled up, makes a good soap. By the way I love the name shademorgis.

Shade keep writing because even though we sometimes don't agree, you seem very polite and you state your opinions very well. I have a fat sassy part Siamese cat named Bella. All in all this board is actually pretty nice compared to some of the other boards.

That is what is so great about Brooke fans in general;
we are realistic--we know she is not perfect, she has made mistakes and we acknowledge that.

Many Taylor fans try to make a saint out of her--like Stephanie. Stephanie only started that garble to suit her own purpose. Taylor has made penty of mistakes. And to make a big point--likes to spread her legs--more than Brooke! (Talk about insecure fans who try to convince themselves that Taylor is who they want her to be--haha)

There is a lot of good and-- a lot to love about the Brooke character. She has certainly been more honest than Taylor or Stephanie.

Brookies have to defend against exaggerated criticism.
Brooke was brought into another so-called Taylor thread by the so-called Taylor poster/fan. When Brooke fans defended what was started--the bashers falsely try to be offended.

If we ignore the basher threads--they can't be intertained--since they have a need to hop in on others with negativity--
they intrude on other posts with their negativity--
which is often over the top--usually much more nasty than what Brooke fans post.
It is clearly out of jealous spite.

So the bashers can't refrain from placing themselves in on threads that they are asked not to enter.

As of this post --no Brooke fan--has intruded on the latest
so-called "Non Bash Taylor Thread".

It is rude to post on this thread with negativity to Brooke.

vicc,
Thank you so much for saying what all us Brookies have been feeling about this one thread. I sat here for a while earlier trying to figure out how to say it and lo and behold, I come back in with my cup of coffee and you said it for me and all the other Brooke fans!! michaelee started something so nice for us, makes me sad that it did not hold true, but with your help and all the other positive posters, it will indeed turn out to be a very good thread..thank you. Also thanks to all the other Brooke fans on this thread, I love reading the kind things you have to say!

I went to the No Bash Taylor site, and there were no Brooke fans bashing her which is great for Brooke fans because they have respected the No Bash rule. There are some great Brooke fans on this board that know how to express their support without calling other characters names or making fun of their fans. There also some very good Taylor fans that do an excellent job of supporting their favorite without bashing Brooke or her fans. So Kudos to all the good fans.
