I have to say that this is probably my favorite post, hands down. With that said, I find it very upsetting for someone to come on this thread, when there are many, many other threads on this board and be soo disrespectul of the poster's wishes. Truly classless.

Much to the contrary, I have been very respectful in voicing my opinion. I am entitled to it and I have every right to discuss it. I am a very classy woman and have exhibited that in my comments. I would have wished the same amount of respect for Taylor and the utterly classless comments that have been made about her by Brooke fans on this board. Sadly, that was not the case. If you want to have respect or be respected, then you must return the favor in kind. I don't think that is too much to ask.

Great post Michaelee. I know why I love the Brooke character and nothing is going to change my mind, I don't bash the other characters, I respect their views and would hope they respect mine. So keep doing a great job.

michaelee--I disagree that Brooke is a bad mother.
She is a very loving mother.
It is silly when posters make remarks that Brooke isn't spending time with her children--when it is just not brought into the SL with airtime.
The mistake with Deacon was certainly not good, but even that is not as bad as the bashers like to make it. There was no hot steamy affair. Brooke knew it was a mistake and stopped it.
However there were good things that came from
Brooke giving in to Deacon's advances--Bridget saw what a slime she was married to and Hope was born.
Brooke has been a good mother to Hope despite who her father is. Brooke is not the kind of mother to give her child up due to biological parentage.

A mother is also human and deserves her own life and happiness. Brooke has never neglected her children.

A parent has the responsibility to raise a child--they do not owe their whole existence to a son or daughter when they become an adult. The adult is then responsible for himself. The parent is entitled to be happy and make personal choices without interference from an adult child.
Of course the hope is that everyone will be happy, but in the case of Rick and the mean, disrespectful behavior that
he has shown--I think Brooke was too light on him.
I hope Rick is sincere regarding his change of heart.

Stephanie and Taylor certainly have no credence in saying that Brooke is not a good mother. Brooke has been a better mother than both of them.
Talk is cheap. They talk the talk but fall very short in modeling the walk.
And on that note--it is a shame that your thread was intruded on in the nasty manner that you so plainly tried to avoid. Initially--any mention of Taylor was handled without bashing. My guess is that you went back and edited a post because you got so tired of the intruded insults.

Those who seem to circle the Board and swoop in with their negativity--just can't refrain from being spoilers.

Brookies in general do not post nearly as exaggerated
or nasty--and negativity is in response to over the top attacks.
These attackers falsely state that Brookies exhibit the same kind of posts--not even close.

Talking respect and class is meaningless if you don't exemplify it.
The truth is clearly there for all to see.

As we have noticed before--
Brooke wasn't on the screen today--
but the last thread I saw posted tonight was about Brooke.
She remains on the mind of the bashers and the fans.

Oh Yeah...the truth is plain to see...

I have loved Brooke since the beginning of B/B in 1987. Brooke was always positive,intelligent,resourceful,sensitive,and has a funny(at times)passionate,sensual side to her. I believe that the true turning point with Brooke becoming BROOKE was the Belief paten storyline when Eric,Stephanie,and Ridge tried to trick her out of it and Brooke wound-up having the signed copy of the contract(I still have this storyline on tape after all of these years)and took control of Forrester. Yes the Valley Girl (as they looked down on her )took over and showed them all that she had the intelligence(learning capability)creativity and drive to run Forrester for over a decade and take it to new heights with Belief,The Men's Clothing Line and Brooke's Bedroom and opening Forrester International in Paris... and give Forrester more fame and wealth that even Ridge,Eric or Stephanie couldnot have imagined... While over the years I have not always liked the choices that Brooke made in always wanting Ridge she has had good choices as far as other husbands were concerned(Eric-Ridge and Stephanie interfered )James (Ridge stopped their wedding)Grant(she married him on the rebound thanks to Stephanie convincing Ridge that Grant and Brooke were an item when they were not) Thorne(it was too short lived and it might have lasted... their sexual chemistry was hot and rivals what she and Ridge have(I wonder is that the reason why Ridge couldnot stand the fact they were together and the possibility that she might have forgotten all about him and lost her to his little brother forever?) Whip ( was funny but she wasnot in love with him- Deacon was on the brain) and finally Nick(it could have worked but with Bridgetin the picture and Nick not wanting Brooke anywhere near Forrester and NOT working and sitting home (this is not the career savvy Brooke that we know)only to wind with Ridge(they might make it work now, that he is trying to grow-up and realizes that hey he could actually loose her)I feel Brooke has always been true to herself. While people criticize her parenting skills with Rick and Bridget(they forget she was raising them alone for quite a while and both Ridge and Eric were okay with that because they were busy with their other wives Sheila and Taylor)she did the best that she could do given the circumstances and DOES love them along with Hope,R.J. and her swapped egg baby boy Jack. Brooke has shown through out the years that she has come a long way from the Valley and is a survivor under the most trying of circumstances (the rape which hurt and shocked me)and people Stephanie's constant meddling(which would have driven me insane by now!) but still through it all she has positive attitude and remains a go-getter with a spirit that I admire.
