Quote BetchaDidntKnow: Quote OspreyGirl: When did this turn into a bash Taylor thread? But isn't it just like the soap...the moment Taylor is independent of the drama, someone has to do a compare/contrast of Brooke or Stephanie. Taylor is not in a pool of drool and tears, she clearly is okay. Taylor is strong and intelligent enough to stand on her own two feet. Her friendship with Stephanie is based out of mutual respect and they are completely different people. Just because you are friends with someone doesn't mean you become their clone... Is it possible for this thread to just talk about Taylor and her moving on from Ridge, rather than bringing up Brooke like this is some kind of high school competition on who's the best cheerleader? Geez...this crap gets old, get over it already. Brooke is with Ridge...hooray, she can have the weasel. Taylor is moving on, taking a trip, making decisions for her happiness that doesn't include Ridge. She didn't call Ridge to tell him that she was leaving town to demand he "think about" what he lost with her, now is she? Strength, dignity and character all the way. You state it so well. Now watch out because their heads are turning, their faces are filling with blood, their teeth are lengthening, and their tongues are dripping with insult and I'm not talking about Halloween monsters! They are coming soon to insult your post and lay daggers into Taylor/Tylo!!!! Thanks for the compliment...and the warning? LOL...I don't get wrapped up in the drama of "but Brooke did this and Taylor did that" so that ship of wackiness can sail on by. |

TPTB writes the characters as they want them to appear, and the actors pull of the script. Even if they switched roles with Taylor and Brooke, the actors will portray what is written for them. |

Which is why I enjoy saying the "writers" have changed the dynamics of the "characters". |

Apparently your description depicts your own feelings when you started this thread to adorn Taylor-- since it was YOU that brought Brooke into it all in the first place. Yes--do be warned! How about if I give you a subject...I got it... the original thread! Share with us about how much you like the Taylor character and how the writers have changed her character dynamics so much that she is unrecognizable. Hope that helps. Whatever the issue with "the nose and its length" it sounds personal so I'll just leave you to resolve that issue. |

You continue to accuse--when you are guilty. The point is that you didn't stick to your own changed Taylor character dynamics (so-called thread theme) without bringing Brooke into it from the very first post! You didn't stick to Taylor--YOU brought Brooke into it-- so don't bark about others responding to that. |

Quote Touched: Quote BetchaDidntKnow: If you think that Taylor is too weak to deserve a man then you probably should feel the same way about Brooke. Until her return, Taylor was the strength and Brooke was the weak. No lie and no bashing. It's just how it was. Brooke always envied/hated Taylor and there are episodes that attest to that. Additionally there are episodes where Brooke confessed that Ridge's love for Taylor was real and undeniable. Unfortunately, Taylor is now getting ripped apart by the writers and the bloggers. Which is unfortunate. Redemption is around the corner for her. Ridge will see her again. Brooke will envy her again. Taylor will be a challenge again. If these things don't happen then she'll be written off again to the delight of many. But really how can you have a show where there isn't a moral character who doesn't make the show better or at least add food for thought or perhaps a bit of romance. Like her or or hate her, you should get to know Taylor before you cast her aside. She is refreshing when you think about all of the nonsense that Brooke has done to her in the past. Unfortunately, there isn't a laundry list of things that Taylor has done to Brooke. Think you know Taylor... I don't think so. This is based on a hope and a prayer for Taylor. Not much about her past if any, is known before she came to LA! We know that as a psychiatrist, she exhibited hardly any compassion for an ex-husband, whose anger management issues were related to a brain tumor! We also know she has a propensity to pursue her male patients, romantically! We know there was obviously something passionate between her and Grant Chambers that she chose to keep secret! The same goes for Dante Damiano! We know practically nothing about the years she spent with Prince Omar, other than she remember her family! We know that her mother was killed by mobsters, her father was involved with! Her father is a recluse....meaning weird! He and her brother do not get along! There is very little substance to Taylor except that she married Ridge and had three children! She is far from perfect and she has never been morally sound! I gather from what you've written there is a great deal of unexplored story telling for Taylor! All new and fresh. I'm cheering the writers on to bring some great stories for Taylor that involve her family dynamics and nothing to do with Ridge or Brooke. However because the characters are interdependent it would stand to reason that Ridge and Brooke would be involved in a storyline involving Taylor. Someone has to be there to cry foul! |

How do you suddently reinvent an image that has been tarnished for so long? Where were you over a decade ago to plead her case. I think this argument should have been made before she got involved with her patient, her supposedly friend's husband, the husband and child of the woman she killed, her associate, her image of a son and all of Brooke's leftovers and the list goes on. How do you erase those memories? |
