Now, back to the topic on hand. We learnt of Brooke's intention of caring for her mother in Paris when she told Ridge this herself. Not through hearsay and I heard her further state that she could not sit around and wait endlessly for him to make a decision, so since her mother was moving back to Paris, she would use the opportunity to work at Forrester International in Paris and help care for her mom.

At one point, I even heard Brooke say that she does not need to do this but it will help her to get over Ridge and when she is ready, she will return to LA with a new perspective. Ridge begged her several times to change her mind and her response was that if he did not give her reason enough to, she wasn't prepared to change her mind. He had to be ready to make a commitment to her before that happened.

So, Brooke had an expectation from Ridge and this all played out before she boarded the plane. Going to Paris to care for her mom was conditional - so, Brooke did not use her mom as an excuse and furthermore, if Ridge was so in love with Taylor, why did he go after Brooke?

Ridge already made a conscious choice of who he wants to be with and without the influence of drugs or alcohol too - so get over it. Enough of the Taylor whining.

\i have a question if ridge whas so in love with brooke why had thorne thaen make a dision because at first it seems he would do anything but when thorne had told him that he must give brooke and him a change and the childeren where there and sad that they diden't want to go to paris then he did something to let brooke stay if thorne told him to stay with taylor did he stay with her. I think when he is so in love with her why must he has help from his brother and childeren to make up his mind.I asked meself from brooke of she know what love whas but you could that ask also of ridge do they know??????????????

Ridge's decision was not only based on what Thorne said to him. The s/l has shown that Ridge wrestled with the idea of Brooke leaving for Paris. I think what Thorne did was help Ridge put things in perspective and the children helped him to get his priorities straight. Sometimes people need that extra push, especially if their judgment is cloudy.

I do not think that Thorne would have ever recommended that Ridge stay with Taylor because, amongst other things, she is not one of his favourite people. Remember that when Ridge was about to marry Taylor, Thorne was one of those who questioned Ridge's decision. He reminded him how much Brooke means to him and that marrying Taylor might be a mistake.

Love means different things to different people but Brooke have already defined what love means to her. She has always loved Ridge and because I have been watching this soap since it first aired, I fully understand her thinking. Brooke’s love for Ridge is not only patient and kind but over the years it has certainly endured a lot.

yes I know love can mean different things and you have many different love, as you love your family, your friends ect,ect but and I have not seen it from the beginning and not every episode because somethimes it whas not possible as I said before I'm from holland and it is now also that I can not see it but when I see some episode's and that is past I now but when rich died as manny people thought with that oven she and nick have sex while they had not find rich body and then I think how is it possible that you can have sex with annother men while you have not have bureyd (Ihope that is a good word in englisch)the men that you love and there are more episode's that brooke is with a men ridge or nick that she say she loves but alway's she hurts somebody and is with the other and that is also the men's stuppid thing but do you understand why I think do they know what love's mean somethimes I think the think love and sex are desame and then ridge is also stuppid because he is furries on his brother because he had sex with brooke while he whas just died but they where with two and on nick he whas staying angry but with brooke how long and she whas forgiven stuppid I think sorry if anyone is a other opinion but .... bye

Brooke going to Paris to take care of her terminally ill mother sounds about as rediculous as Taylor, coming back from the grave, this last time!

Brooke made this big declaration that her mother needed her. Now we hear nothing about Bethy. Not even a brief visit or phone call. Where is Brooke's concern, love and loyalty now that her ploy the get the brain dead pie boy to run after her has worked. She no longer needs to use her mother as an excuse. Her sisters never pretended to care. Where does that leave Bethy and why isn't Brooke in Paris?

I am sure that we saw the same episode. Brooke did say that she was going to oversee and care for her mother. I am sure Beth does not remember anything. She was still in the past with Eric. Brooke said she was going to care for her mom. I am also sure that she was hoping that Ridge would follow her in the long/short run. He should have followed her to Paris and stayed(could care less either way). The facts are Brooke is a fraud who used her mother this time instead of her kids.

Brooke: I don't want to pressure you, but it's time to make a decision. I can't wait around forever. (Sighs) You know how much I love you, Ridge, and how much our family needs you. So come back. Come back to our life together.

Ridge: This isn't easy for me, either, Logan. I know I have to make a decision. But I've got to be sure. I need more time.
Ridge: I'm sorry. I know it doesn't seem fair to you.
Brooke: We're past all that-- what's fair, who's to blame. This time I spent with Taylor and James up at Big Bear, it was really clarifying for me. I know that you can't stand seeing Taylor and me at each other's throats. And I can't stand the way things are.
Ridge: It's not always gonna be like this. We'll figure it out, okay?
Brooke: (Sighs) I already have. My mom's getting worse, and I'm not gonna let her slip away while I am preoccupied with other things. My dad and mom already left for Paris, and as soon as I can arrange things... (sighs) the kids and I will be there, too.
Ridge: So you're running away.
Brooke: I'm doing what's best for my mother and me.
Ridge: Logan, your parents could stay in L.A. You and your sisters are all here.
Brooke: But this is what my mom wants.
Ridge: Is it what you want, though?
Brooke: You know what I want.
Ridge: Did Beth ask you to go with her?
Brooke: No.
Ridge: Does she even know what you're planning? It seems so crazy, Logan. It doesn't make sense. You're just gonna pack everything up and move to Paris. Why?
Brooke: Because it's too painful to stay here, Ridge, and watch you be with Taylor. This is very hurtful to me, this whole situation of going back and forth. I mean, if you-- (sighs) if you really wanted to be with me, it would only take one minute to decide. And now my mother's memory is crumbling, and... (sighs) I don't know how much longer I'm gonna have with her.
Ridge: Look, I understand. Um, look, I'm not asking you to not go there to be with her. I-I'm just asking don't do it this minute.
Brooke: Well, this minute is all we have. If I learned anything from my mother's illness, it's that.
Ridge: Look, everything is up in the air, and that's my fault. I admit it. But just running off to Paris like this, that's not the answer.
Brooke: Ridge, I don't want to do this. We're supposed to be married. We're supposed to be raising our son together. I never thought that we would be apart. And now I am losing my mother, and I really need to be there for her. And it's killing me to be here, so I have to go.
Ridge: No. No, Logan, you can't do this. I won't let you.
Ridge: You're talking about uprooting your entire life here. What about our kids?
Brooke: School hasn't started yet. I can fly to Paris with Katie and settle down in a house near mom and dad and then have the kids come over. I'll enroll them in a primary school there and then--
Ridge: What? Wait, wait. What do you mean, enroll them in school? How long are you planning to make this trip for?
Brooke: Well, you can see R.J. whenever you want, Ridge, and when you come over to international-- uh, Forrester International-- he'll stay with you.
Ridge: Wait a minute. Wait. Wait, Brooke. Brooke, hold on. Hold on. This is going too fast here. You haven't thought this through.
Brooke: Are you asking me to stay?
Ridge: I'm asking you to give it more thought.
Brooke: I have, Ridge. I've given it lots of thought for weeks and weeks. I thought about what I could do to get you to change your mind-- what I can do, what I can say. And I really thought coming back and working at Forrester with you would get you to open your eyes. Well, now that's what I need to do. I need to open my eyes, and I need to quit spinning my wheels. I need to get away from this heartache. I need to move forward, and if I have to fly halfway around the world to do that, so be it.
Ridge: So you say your mind is made up. What if things were different?
Brooke: Well, then make them different. Tell me that you're coming home.
Ridge: (Sighs)

Ridge: Is that what you want, some kind of sign?

Ridge: What about the company? What about the Royalty campaign?
Brooke: (Sighs) Donna and Katie will come visit mom, and when they do, we'll do our photo shoots there. I'll be working for Forrester International, so it's really not gonna be a problem. I've thought all about this, Ridge. There's nothing that you can come up with that I haven't considered. This is going to happen.
Ridge: And there's nothing I can say? Nothing I can do?
Brooke: (Sighs)
Ridge: (Sighs) I love you, Logan.
Brooke: I love you.
Ridge: Everything else around us may have changed, but not that, not how I feel about you.
Brooke: Still, at the end of the night after work, you-- you go home to Taylor and Thomas and Steffy. And I just can't live with that any longer. I-I can't do it, Ridge, not even for one more night. I-I have to go finish packing.
Brooke: Good-bye.

Ridge: God! I cannot let this happen. I can't let this happen.

brooke never had no real intentions To go to paris. that was a ploy for Ridge to chase her so he can have Both women in his life. Shes proving that now she doesnt call or mention her mother. she really dont care as much as she pretends to. Shes a very arrogant selfish self absorbed person what do you expect.

Even if Brooke didnt say her mother needed her. She still could have went becasue her mother does need her. See sex rules everything in Brookes life she would probably sale her childs soul for it if there was one man left on earth. Im just saying.
