Ridge, the hormone driven weiner-has TWO families-3 children with Taylor (Or so the story goes), and 1 child with Brooke (Or so the story goes). Taylor is the mother of Ridges 3 with her, therefore she will always be in his life. Same for Brooke. IF Ridgie, Brooke, and Taylor have any stress they brought on themselves. There IS no happy fairytale ending for any of them, including BRIDGE. Just wait, you will see.

Too true these people wallow in their self made misery no one on this show has a happy relationship for too long it will all end in tears

Ridge has five children to include Hope! He has, on occasion, forgotten this, because he is self-absorbed! If he doesn't get what he wants, the throws a tantrum and disappears for weeks on end, and forgets that there are children who rely on him for, at the least, emotional support! He's had a lot of practice though! Rick and Bridget came and went, before these five!

well brooke has about four familes....lol

and like a whipped pig he has spent a majority of his life raiseing other men's kids. but i guess that is supposed to show how much he loves brooke.

all it shows me is what a punk he is.

Taylor was an alcoholic long before baby Jack came into her life, so she did not lose him because of alcoholism. She decided that she could not deal with the fact that this child has Brooke's dna, so she chose to walk out of his life.

Again, it is puzzling to me that a mother who planned this pregnancy and was happy carrying baby Jack for nine months, could walk out of his life without any regrets.

Being a mother herself, Brooke was not going to idly sit back and watch this child come into harm's way because his mother was sprialling out of control. Instinctively, her concern was for the baby's safety and well-being.

Moreover, as for Deacon, why should Brooke hand over her daughter to a scumbag for him to raise! If ever he decides to come back and try to claim Hope, I do not think any judge would go along with that because Deacon's track record speaks for itself. Look at his character currently on Y&R. Yuck!

Deacon is a scumbag. And I understand Brooke not wanting Bridgette married to him. What I don't understand is why a mature, intelligent mother such as Brooke would have slept with this man and conceived his child no less. Writers were really pushing that dumb storyline.

ITA! And that is the one mistake that Brooke made that I had big issues with. Pretty much like Victoria kissing Deacon on Y&R. Gross!

Since Deacon has agreed to sign away his parental rights to Hope, I'm guessing alcoholism won't stand in the way of his not getting custody of Hope! Maybe after Deacon is done with his shady business in Genoa City, he can fly to LA and clear up the reason why he is so willing to give up his rights! Yes! Bring Deacon back!
