You are so right, we don't write this stuff so we just view what TPTB feed us. We just have to remember that we can't chew their jello.

Quote Tilda: I just reviewed YouTube about the Darla/Taylor accident. From the looks of it Taylor could not have done differently if she had not been drinking. Tragic as it was, it was still an accident. Brooke's attachs on the woman of this show concerning their husbands and men was/is just skanky and low.

The thing is she WAS drinking and did not make the situation any better. Had she not been drinking, same outcome. I, myself would rather deal with the fact that I killed someone because of some fluke... the weather was bad, the person had dark clothes on, visability was bad, etc. Driving while intoxicated doesnt excuse the tragic accident. That would be hard for me to live with, knowing I killed someone because of a stupid mistake I made. Im not even going to justify the bash at Brooke. Enough of that going on with both sides.

Drunk driving is a very serious offense and no one should take it lightly. Bottom line is, there is no excuse for Taylor's self-destructive behaviour, so it is useless trying to blame Darla's dark clothes or the fact that she was so close to the road on that foggy night.

Drinking causes one's vision to be impaired and it also affects one's judgement and ability to react in the case of an emergency. That is what happened to Taylor that night. No use coughing up excuses. If she was sober, I am certain that Taylor’s reaction would have been different that fateful night.

Drinking and driving is serious. Everyone has a responsibility to be upstanding enough to not put others in harms way. Having said that, Taylor should NOT have driven that night. The writers chose her character to make a point, but it also ended up trashing her character in the aftermath. Why have writers trashed so many characters on B&B and Y&R in recent years, yet glorified others. I think its all about the politically correct thing in society nowadays, but that doesn't mean its right. JMO

i am just as certain that Bell needed to do something horrific to taylor's charcter to make brooke look like a saint. cause we know the breacon thing just crucified her character.

but making taylor a drunken mommy killer did the trick...whenever brooke does something stupid, which is on a regular basis, immeaditly the song of the year starts being played...well at least she never killed anyone.

i mean she ripped apart marriages, destroyed people's mental capacity, turn her daughter first love into something ugly...but at least she never killed somebody

it amazes me how this show uses real people's serious diseses such as dementia and alcoholism tomake that bobble head brooke look good,

,Yes Brooke did kill someone,( Taylor) Taylor took a bullet that was meant for Brooke. When Shiela shot at Brooke Taylor stepped in front of Brooke and died. That caused one of Taylor's deaths. Taylor was thanked by Brooke by Brooke moving into her house and taking over Taylor's HUSBAND and family. Lesson learned: never take a bullet to save a snake. she will slither into your home and steal your family.

I believe Taylor grapped for the gun Sheila was holding and they struggled and she was shot, Brooke ran back to help Eric and she was shot. Brooke did not pursue the presumed widower Ridge. He went after her and even had to have his children propose because Brooke was very reluctant to marry him. How do you steal a husband from a wife who died. If you go further back I remember Sheila holding a gun to Stephanie, I believe Ridge, Brooke, and Eric were in the same room. Brooke stood in front of Sheila and told her she would have to shot her first. Brooke also came to Stephanie's aid when Sheila poisoned her and she was in the hospital, by reminder her how much she meant to her children, Rick and Bridget. We know Brooke is not a saint, she has made horrendous mistakes just like Taylor. You hate the accident that killed Darla and I despised the Deacon storyline. Sorry, we live with the SLs given to us.

The writers of this show has shown us how NONE of these women want the other one hurt. Each has shown how they would come to the others rescue if they were in harms way. That is the one thing that makes each one of them special women.
Stephanie we all know, loves Taylor and would love to have her in her family. Then on the other hand, Brooke has caused so much havioc in the family that Stephanie just does not want her in the family at all.
Stephanie has MANY times told Brooke she was a very beautiful, smart and intelligent person (pardon the spelling). Stephanie truly does not want any harm to come to Brooke, she just wants Brooke in someone elses family. They each can't stand each other's actions but the each also respect the other as a bright, intelligent person.
My opinion of course.

Hmmm.........remembering Stephanie giving a gun to Brooke and telling her to kill herself because the world would be a better place without her is a memory that's stuck in my mind. Nope.....I'm not seeing how Stephanie looks out for anyone's wellbeing but her own.

Was that gun even loaded? Never in my mind did I even have the slightest idea that Brooke would have done such a thing. I believe Stephanie knew that also since she knows Brooke better than I. It was a bad s/l but I don't think she ever thought Brooke would take her up on it.
