maybe we can see some of the soaps on soapnet in the evening. does anyone know?

Total madness. I feel bad for the death of MJ but they are taking this tooooo far. For a decade or so mostly everyone made fun of MJ and only time he was mentioned is hanging a child over the balcony in Germany and the headlines called him WACKO. Now all these people are morning and with all that is going on in the world all that is mentioned is MJ. I refuse to watch the news, buy the paper or even go on CNN what kind of society have we become?

I'm disgusted by it my self. If only they had this kind of fan fair for our military members coming home some not so lucky!

This man may have gave millions to charity, but he spent money like it was nothing, they say OD'd on anastitia and some other drug that NOONE should be able to get a hold of out side of a hospital. Was accused of child molestation and child endangerment! He may have been able to sing and dance and was once a great pop star, but in the end he was a loon!

My condolences go out to the Jackson family, especially his children and may God give us all the gift of compassion.

I saw today's episode of B&B one hour earlier at 12:30.

I also watched MJ's tribute.
I'm with miss lelo and the message of compassion...
no need to be judgemental.

It is true he was accused--but remember not convicted.

It is not unusual for a big Star to get huge media attention. Many others deserve to be honored--
but this is what it is--and it is not over.

I don't think MJ was the greatest entertainer of all time,
but he was a great entertainer.

There are those who want to credit MJ with a greater contribution to the world than he actually achieved, but they are entitled to state their opinions.

Like others--I think fame and fortune had a negative effect on MJ's life.

MJ has also given a powerful and positive message.

Wow, I didn't realize Michael Jackson had such a loyal and loving fan base. Thank you for this thread--it is reminder to those who love Michael that his love and life were more important than if Ridge and Brooke get back together. JMO

I grew up in 60's and 70's . Went through bussing, 2 brothers in vietnam. While in the 6th grade (I am 49) I remember the tension between blacks and whites over the bussing issue. But we would get 1 "party" afternoon every Friday where we could bring treats, records (45's) etc. It was always The Jackson Five. We all loved them. Their music brought us all together in spirit. It was great. As for our Armed Service members- They are all our true heroes. Without them protecting America, nothing would matter. Point is I am proud of our military men and women and also believe that MJ is a humanitarian that DID bring some good to peoples lives.

I was just sharing some nostalgic memories of MJ. I Do believe he was a great entertainer and humanitarian. As for the molestation charges-that is not for anyone to decide but God. IF he was guilty, I do not know because I was not there. Like Nancy Grace said the other night, that is between Michael and God.

Did some people get to see B&B yesterday, because I didn't they had the memorial service on here. I am in the Eastern Time Zone. The other 2 soaps I watch picked up today where it left off monday. And on those two spoiler pages it says pre-empted but on the spoiler page for here it says what was happening for tuesday so did it totally cancel for me and I don't get to see that episode or is that episode that was supposed to be on Tuesday on Today. I recorded it so I have not seen it yet. Please let me know.

I find it a sad state of society when people get upset when their soaps (filled with lust, greed, sex, murder, corruption, etc.) are pre-empted for whatever (sport events are the most frequent cause...and I personlly consider MJ memorial coverage more interesting than that). I remember when the President of the United States was being inaugurated that there were some folks on this board who were upset about THAT pre-empting their soaps...how disrespectful and sad is that? I love keeping up with the soaps, and know the schedule was pushed back because of the MJ funeral..so what? Soaps are entertainment, not life...good grief.
