Ridge is in pain, clear and simple!!

After I watched last weeks shows, it was soo obvious to me that this man is hurting. It broke my heart watching Ridge trying to cope with pills and alcohol. He is taking these pills just to dull the pain of losing his daughter. We are not supposed to bury our children, it's not natural. They (Ridge, Taylor, Thomas and Steffy) never had a chance to get grief counseling and that's what they are in serious need of!! I'm hoping that the "spoilers" that I've read aren't correct and Brooke will see that he needs help (I know she realized that he needs help, but not to this level), forgive him for sleeping with Taylor, because his head is clearly messed up and she will take him to someone (not Taylor or James) and get him help!!!!!

I agree he needs help but Brooke doesn't want to understand. Honestly, how could she? She just wants Ridge to accept Rick in time. Brooke will get over Ridge, with another man, I am sure.

I agree with you BoldMama
it really breaks my heart and makes me sad to watch my fav in this situation.

I am very disappointe with Brooke that after all support he gave her she is not able to support him when he really needs.

It breaks my heart too to see my fav character Ridge so much in pain and distraught. I just hope Brooke stays away for awhile and gives him time to grieve and heal. She has pushed him from the beginning to accept "her" son and cannot or will not see why he can't ever accept Rick. But Brooke probably won't give him the space and the time he needs.

I'd love to see R/T reunite but I know many don't want to see that. Brooke I'm afraid will never let that happen.

Brooke needs to be very careful......she could push Ridge completely over the edge he is hanging from right now.

I disagree, Brooke has been VERY supportive AND has given Ridge space, even against her better judgement thanks to that meddeling evil mother-in-law! Maybe if she hadn't given him space he wouldn't be hooked on pills and making a huge mistake sleeping with Taylor. Its soooo obvious he doesn't LOVE Taylor for a second!

His unnatural and unhealthy hatered for Rick is his own doing! Brooke on several occations told Rick to stay away from Stephy. But she was/is smart enough to realize that no matter how many times or who tells them they can't be together won't work. She doesn't support them, she just isn't going to demand they stay away from each other. She as Rick's mother can't hate him any more than anyone of us could our own children. No matter what they do! Ridge is too shallow minded and bent on someone other than his own kid being at fault that he can't see reality for what it is!

Can't believe I'm going to say this, but Tridge deserve each other!!!!

I am by NO MEANS a Tridge fan. I am 100% a Bridge fan. Brooke has given Ridge space, however his mom and Taylor can't seem to do the same. Brooke is a mother and she won't ever see her son through Ridge's eyes. He understands that now, hence the space. I think that Brooke just wanted Ridge to try to realize that Rick and Steffy are adults and are going to do what they want regardless of how everyone else feels and maybe he should try to come to grips with the relationship. Unfortunately he can't do that yet, because he hasn't had time to grieve for his daughter.

Ridge's pain is self imposed at this point. What loving man would tell a mother she MUST choose between her child and him? Brooke has never denied the messes that Ric caused but she also knows these 2 people are adults, not teenagers that you can ground. Iknow Ridge is in pain over the loss of his child but could possibly heal if Taylor and his loving mother didn't constantly feed his pain.

Please do me a favor please note when Brooke was supportive of Ridge. The man daughter died in his arms. Did she really allow him to grieve? No, Instead she pushed for her wedding which was before the funeral. Since basically told Ridge my son comes before you, your daughter is dead mine is here to stay and you have to deal with it. That's messed up, and I think Ridge hatred for Rick increased by Brooke acting blind to his misdeed. It's like he was contaminating everything he loved. It's understandable. But what is not understandable is that Brooke wasn;t smart enough to be supportive to Ridge without pushing away her son. Rick is not a little boy he is a grown man who should understand that his mother's husband and love of her life is hurting and he lurking around on purpose is not going to help. She could have told him give the family some space to grieve. Hopefully when things calm down then you can oursue Steffy, If she loves you as much as you say she does she'll wait for you. Now Rick would've understood that?!?! Brooke couldn't have said that. But Brooke being who she is selfish is taking Ridge attack on Rick as a personal blow to her self. She feels that in order for Ridge to love her he has to love Rick and accept that the step siblings want to marry. So ITA Brooke doesn't need Ridge she needs someone with the same twisted ideology she has. That love proceeds all even if its your family, belongs to a family member, or has been with a family member. You have the right to love anyone you want despite who it hurts. I guess she has to be on the receiving end to understand. I honestly don't think that Brooke has the ability to be supportive of anyone the right way. She couldn't really support Bridgit, or anyone else. She is not supporting Rick she is appeasing him at the sacrifice of Steffy. So messed up.

BoldMama what Thomas has done to Rick does not compare to what Rick has done to his family. Rick came out without a scratch. I mean he has not been affected in anyway. He actually used the incident as leverage against Ridge and used it to increase his hold on Steffy. If I had to choose who to accept without question is Thomas. But Rick is a grown man. Whose been married, and he had a lost a child not once but twice so why in the heck can't he have any sympathy for the family and just walk away. Ridge wasn't the cost of his losts nor his mother's heartbreak. The cost of the her heartbreak is her obsession with Destiny as his obsession with Revenge. Once they get over their OCD they should all be fine.

I'm not a Rick fan at all, but in no way is Thomas justified in trying to kill him, not once but twice!!! If you ask me, he still isn't sane. Rick DID NOT KILL STEFFY. Please be clear on this. She was upset with him and SHE attacked him. It was an accident. Thomas blames Rick for this accident and all of the problems with his family. Thomas is a grown man himself and if my memory serves me correctly didn't he get married? Ridge has been the major reason for Brooke's heartbreak all of these years and that is what has fueled Rick's hatred of him. The last straw for Rick and what really set him off, was Taylor. She ended her engagement with him at the last minute because she thought her future was with Ridge (what a joke).

Brooke hasn't really been there AT ALL. She was there allright supplying the sex but not the compassion, the understanding of grief. The hatred Rigde has developed for rick is infact prompted by rick himself who had been carrying a similar kind of hatred for Ridge and not helped by Brooke who's meant ot be his wife and also not helped by his dad Eric who's also Rick's dad. It's just one big mess all caused by Brooke sleeping with a father and son . what in blazes did she expect? And BTW, what is wrong with her demanding that Rick stays away from stephy??? I know it won't stop them seeing each othe rbut atleast they woould both be showing a united front against rick stephy. No Brooke isn't smart at all. if she was like sandee said, she would have been able to juggle her husband and her son without one or the other feeling misunderstood and left out. No she isn't one smart person AT ALL! IMHO.
