The other day when Taylor gave Ridge the Valium, I said to myself, yea, he'll get hooked, on them. Taylor could very well loose her Dr's liscense, for giving him, her pills. I'ts against all rules, in medical profession |

Yes Mds can give samples but they can not give samples that are narcotics in any state.. no drug company is allowed to give narcotic samples because the doc is required by federal law to write their id # on script which is regulated by the govt.through the pharmacys and where did it come out that it was valium??? and yes it is illegal for anyone to give anyone other than who the medication was written for some of their pills regardless if it was 1 or 100. this is 100% true people as a nurse i can back this one up all the way! |

ITA with your statement and know for a fact you are right.I have a pain management Dr. and a girl down the street had the same Dr. I said had because she told him she took one of her mother pain pills same excat thing and he let her go. So it is definetinely a no no PERIOD. |

I don't recall Taylor giving Ridge the pill after professional consultaion though. Had she done so, she would have remembered the side effects of the pill, in that, it is addictive and with Ridge's heart condition and state of mind, he has no business being hooked on no pills right now. I call that irresponsible behaviour on Taylor's part and there is absolutely no excuse for her to be careless enough to allow him access to the drugs. The woman needs serious help.

You are completly right but we don't know what exactly she gave him is my point. Someone suggested it was Valium but we don't know that to be a fact. And as I said before Taylor gave him one, not the handfuls he has been shoveling in. If Ridge is taking these drugs in an inappropreate way I say it is more on him than Taylor. He is the one that has gone into her purse when she is out of the room and helped himself. |

Sorry for the commotion I caused. Being a nurse, I really look for slip ups, when a storyline pertains to a medical situation. I am retired, now, but believe me. in my experience, I had the fear of God, in me, when it came to medication, lorileli, is absolutely right. Had he had a bad reaction and had side effects, or died, and it was found in blood, investigation would have been done, and it tracked back to Taylor, there would have been trouble. Yes Ridge got more, and that was wrong, but his response of getting more shows how addicting the drug is. |

AS far as allowing him acces to the drugs I don't know that I completely agree with you on that one. Taylor had the pills in her purse. Now this is not like trying to keep something from a child that doesn't know better. It is resonable to think that someone would not go through your purse when you are out of the room. Taylor may well have made a mistake in giving Ridge the first pill, but he took the rest all on his own without her knowledge. If anybody is to blame, it is Ridge because he choose to take the pills instead of trying to deal with the feelings he was having. |

I did miss Taylor saying what the drug was. I do agree with you that giving Ridge the first pill may not have been the smartest thing in the world Taylor could have done. She probably thinks the same thing in hindsight. My point is even though Taylor gave him that first pill because she thought he was in crisis and needed something to help him, she had nothing to do with the other times he took her meds. Ridge helped himself to the pills in her purse. Even though he said he would have taken them in front of her but she was out of the room, you notice he always seemed to wait untill she was out of the room to go through her purse and find them. HE took the other pills without her knowledge or consent. Now if Ridge had been a child I would have said Taylor bore some responsibility for not keeping the drugs out of reach. But as Ridge is an adult shouldn't Taylor be able to assume something would be safe in her purse? If Ridge had decide to steal Taylor's cash or credit cards for example would that have been Taylor's fault for not having her purse with her at all times? |
