Who will be your backup Brooke?

Who will be your backup Brooke?

Well, up to now Brooke ALWAYS had a backup-man waiting in the wings, just in case her recent marriage doesn't work out. When she was married to Ridge and Nick appeared for the first time, HE was the backup. Then when Tay lost her halo and Ridge took that as a welcome excuse to leave her HE was the backup. But now Ridge left her (medication or not) and Nick is about to marry Bridget. I don't think today's Bridget will meekly say:"Of course Mommy, your needs and emotions are bigger than mine and if you don't want to be alone in the bed you can have Nick. I will go back to being a doctor, leave Jacky M so that you can recreate Brooke's Bedroom there and everyone will be satisfied!" She will fight you tooth and nail for Nick!!!

Brookes old flame is coming cback so it may be him.Whip Jones they have always been able to talk so I think when she said there maybe some one to help I think that is who she was talking about.

The men in Brooke's life have always pursued her; I would be surprised if she doesn't get interest/pusuit from a man when it becomes known that she is free.
Don't count Ridge out--when he gets a grip--it is likely that he will go back to Brooke--the love of his life...
he has been very clear about loving her more than Tay Tay.

Brooke wasn't married to Ridge when Nick first showed up! But they were in a relationship although not engaged! Brooke and Nick were in a relationship with the intentions of getting married, when Ridge left Taylor! As much as Taylor and Ridge fans try to fight it, and DEAR GOD, BELIEVE ME, they are trying to fight it, Nick and Bridget are getting remarried, so Nick is not in the picture! Taylor never wore a halo, her devoted fans apparently saw one that wasn't there!

Whip Jones isn't exactly an old flame! They did not have a romance! It was a marriage of convenience, but he was very good to her! He was a more upstanding man than Deacon and Ridge put together! Despite being opportunistic, who isn't these days, Whip is a pretty stable man, and surely will be a watermelon in Ridge's backside, when the dip finally wakes up and gets the monkey off his back!

Really here is how I remember Whip he was an employee who somehow figured out that Brooke was pregnant to her son-in- law.He claimed paternity and he and Brooke married to cover up the sordid facts.
When it became obvious the sham marriage was not working he blackmailed her for a better paying job at the Paris office to keep quiet about the real father of the child she was carrying divorced Brooke and left.

NO, no NOOOOOOOOOO! Whip was the only DECENT man in her life and that's why the marriage didn't last. Or at least it was one of the reasons. Whip was about to become PR Manager of FC, but then Brooke wanted to reward her toy boy for their hanky-panky, serve all the Forresters a slap in their face and made DEACON manager. Then Stephanie revealed Brooke's pregnancy in front of the press and when it became clear that Brooke didn't really want to name the father of her child, Whip stepped in and claimed parentship. Of course he wanted to profit, but imho that was only fair. He had helped Brooke so she could give him a hand concerning his career. But the marriage was never consumated. After Hope was born, Deacon had disappeared and Brooke had reconciled with Bridget, Whip was smart enough to see, that he would NEVER have a chance to win Brooke's heart. So he suggested that they get a divorce, he would go to FC International and everyone would be satisfied. There was no blackmail involved. Legally he is Hope's father, because she was born while Whip and Brooke were married. AFAIK no man (neither Nick, nor Ridge) ever adopted Hope, while they had the good fortune to be Brooke's soulmate and destiny! Very short-sighted, espacially considering how they despise Deacon and always have!!! If Whip now comes back, very nearly ruined, and tries to make money out of his "parentship" then Brooke and the Forresters have only themself to blame!!!!

Well, actually, you can thank Stephanie for that one! She engineered and forced that marriage! But who knows, Whip could be the one after all! Ridge is now hooked on drugs and a shadow of the man he once was...and will never be!

ITA the halo is reserved for Brooke. The writers always give Brooke a man. She is never without one hence the multiple baby daddied and DNA results. Brooke never have to worry about that. She much more the woman than every woman on the show. SO yes the halo should go to her the most self-righteous woman on the show. I think this time Bridget will fight. I don't think she will ever sacrifice her happiness for any family members again. FYI my feelings towards Brooke had nothing with how I feel about Taylor but about Bridget. How can a woman be so self-indulged that she can hurt her own daughter. Not once but twice. I know you have a justification for that in your back pocket for her. But really.

Brooke's emgagement to Whip was to help hide she was pregnant by her son-in-law and had nothing to do with Stephanie; she found out the night before the wedding Deacon was the father. She absolutely encouraged Brooke to go through with the marraige to protect Bridget from finding out the truth. The same way she elected not to tell Ridge the truth about Hope when he began dating Brooke after Taylor's death. Massimo begger Stephanie to tell Ridge the truth. Hope's paternity was the one thing Stephanie never used against Brooke. Steph's love for Bridget was stronger than her hatred of Brooke.

Honestly I wish Brooke and Ridge would just get back together.I am not a fan but I do think they belong together.Why I don't know I may just feel sorry for her.I hate to see her so broken hearted She does love Ridge with all her heart and anyone else is just a sustitute.I just hate what she did to Bridgette.I am hoping that Bridgette and Nick make it this time that is where I am a true fan.#2 I never forgave Brooke for both of the break ups she caused for her daughter.

I really hope Brooke will not go after Nick this time. If she does, then I will stop being her fan. Hurting Bridget twice is two times too many already. If she does, then Bridget should disown her.

Now sure if Whip Jones would be a good choice, but he would be better than Bill Jr who is heartless.

I agree with person who said Taylor is not a angel at all. No one never said Brooke was an angel or does anyone pretend she is. We are reminded everyday that she's not thanx 2 taht meddling Steph,Taylor,and whoever else.

I never said that Brooke wore or deserved to wear a halo! You have to be kidding for even suggesting that! I said that Taylor never wore a halo, but some of her fans have called her perfect! When you have to have a DNA test done on your child than your morals are a little compromised! Brooke didn't have a "man" with her when Stephanie thought she needed and wanted a good time, did she? The "man" that Stephanie sent over to her, raped her, while she was alone, in her house! Exactly what makes you think Brooke will go after a married Nick, when and if she and Ridge break up....Hope that she will?

I don't carry justification in my back pocket! I watch the show! Messageboards are for discussion of the soap and storylines, which is what I like to do! When necessary, I will present information that I have on any given point!

You are obviously under the opinion that if a viewer likes Brooke, they must dislike Taylor and vice versa! Well, that's not true! I like both characters! But both characters can do things that I don't like, and I not going to keep quiet about my thoughts because it might hurt your feelings regarding a character!
