it seems everyone has mixed opinions on this subject of taylor giving ridge the anti-anxiety meds. but lets get real here people yes he is an adult and can make his own decision regarding if he should take those pills but... knowing she is a md an has experience dealing with these types of issues she should also know that his judgement is probably not at its best and covering for how you feel by numbing the pain is never a way to go an its not dealing with the true issue which is the grief of losing a child. yes sometime medication is needed to help one get to a point where they are able to start coping but it is never the solution to the problem. lets not forget she died in his arms also and really this is a story line that should have been dealt with more on a reality level. there is no greater pain than losing a child. he really needs intense counsiling and not the type taylor is willing to give! Brooke an ridge will get through it as they always do maybe taylor will fill the void for a bit but we all know how this will end up. although i cant help but wish that brooke would just step up to the plate an say she has had enough and move on ......

Excellent post.No lies in this post.Thank you for reminding people what is real and not and also that Ridge never got over his daughters death and being the last to hold and listen to her voice the last time. Just think his arms were the last warmth she ever felt the last breath that would ever be heard( EVER.).I am so suprised they did so little with this s/l as far as the dreams and other things that could have happened. When we are the last to every touch and feel our loved one it ripps our heart out of us. Been There. My God I feel like crying so bad.I feel worst now than when it happened, so imagine how Ridge feels.

Where I live doctor's are always over medicating people. In Taylor's defense she was trying to help Ridge, she didn't know he was going to slip behind her back and take more of the pills. Plus Ridge wouldn't need the pills if it weren't for Brooke, Rick, and Steffie. I'm hoping the pills make him strong enough to stand on his own two feet, tell Brooke, Rick, and Steffie to go jump in an ocean, Tell his momma to back off and let him grow up, and go back to Taylor. He not only need someone that truly love him but that he can trust. That spells Taylor.

WOW

New LIfe and lorelei 1010 ya'll were exactly on the money!!

Everything you both wrote sooo true. Especially the part, I had forgotten about, that Phobe died in Ridge's arms and spoke to him before dieing.....It makes more sense now how he is struggling with his sanity in keeping Rick away from that stupid Steffy - the tape alone would have been enough for me!!!

Again, good posts to both of you ladies!!! Agree, Agree, Agree!!

She should have referred him to a physician for further evaluation before just handing him anti-anxiety medication. Since his past medical history shows he's had a heart attack and brain surgery, he could be on medicine that interacts with a drug he might be taking! It could be the wrong drug for him to take! If he stops taking the medication, he could drop dead! Taylor should have known this! Ridge needed counseling, not drugs!

Come on! She sees him hurting and he feels rejected. You think that she was thinking about medical history. She was thinking about a temporary instant fix, and as a MD she probably knows the effects of the drugs. Duh. Give her a break if Brooke can get the many breaks she gets on this board let Taylor at least get one.

Would Brooke get a break for doing what Taylor did? She's certainly had the opportunity to pass Ridge some drugs to calm him down! Even a doctor knows that not only is it against the law to pass an unprescribed narcotic to another is is highly dangerous!

Touched We do totally understand that it is illegal, but as the other poster said Taylor had no idea and still doesn't that Ridge was going to go behind her back.I am hoping that she sees that Ridge is toooooo different to fast and stops him and talks to him.Ridge is hurting soooooo bad right now she Loves him and only wanted to help for the moment.

I am sure Taylor will notice that her meds are missing and will confront him and tell him that this is only temporaliy and she will take him to a Dr. and consult him in time before it becomes a full blown overdose.Touched: I really like your post, about all of them pretty much ,yet on this this one I have to agree to disagree to a point.Thank You Miss Lelo: you have a valid point of the sneaking Ridge is doing. Also Cardinale I am glad to see that eyes have been opened up a little better so as to not judge Taylor so quickly.Heck who wouldn't try and help a love one as fast as they can even though it could come with bad results.I am not going to jump the gun on Ridge becoming an addict and pointing fingers and I also agree that if Rick ,Steffy, Brooke, and Stephanie would all back off some Ridge would not be in this situation and neither would Taylor LOL to all.

What gets me is that she's also driving while taking this medication! Didn't she learn the last time?

You do have a very good point ther.I lost my mother due to a similar situation and it was terriable when I got that call.I guess that is why I can see both sides. You do get DUI for using to much meds also. That is one reason that they have the warning labels on the bottles.I myself have to take meds for a real bad injury from my skull to my lower lumbar but I always have someone drive if I haven't taken whatever the Dr.gives me after I see him.It is pretty scarey out there I bet about 50% of the world is on meds that are very dangerous. It sounds like you have been blessed and pretty healthy Enjoy it because it is like they say If you don't have your health you don't have much God Bless you Touched and all of our human race.
Back to the post Like I said I am hoping Taylor finds out before someone gets hurt whether it be Ridge or some innocent person.Lots of Story lines can break out of this alone. Can't wait till they move up to an hour.Is that in September

There is absolutely no excuse for Taylor giving Ridge the medication to begin with. She is the professional here and what she did is criminal. She knows this. Just like she knew drinking and driving can result in deadly consequences.

I am so sick and tired of people making excuses for Taylor. Ridge is not the doctor here. When she gave him the first pill, he remarked that he is glad that there is a doctor in this family. That comment should have made her think twice about allowing him to take the pills.

Taylor needs to lose her license, she is a disgrace to her profession. The stark reality is that time and time again she has broken the code of ethics in her field.

If I were Taylor I would ditch Steffy and Ridge with the Logans. Back off and let Brooke work out the mess of Ridge not tolerating Rick. Then if Ridge goes berserk or has a heart attack it will be Brookes problem. Taylor needs someone not associated with the Logans. And as for Steffy, let the nimrod do whatever and suffer the consequences.

So very true and well written! I'm just wondering if the pills were really anti anxiety? or something else by mistake?
