Daytime Emmy Question: Why haven't an African-American ever won for lead actor or actress????

I know damn we have some very talented African-American actors and actresses worthy enough to win for this category. Example: Texas Battle. Why haven't he been rewarded for his talent???? Will someone please tell me. Thank you.

It's a good question! Another question is: Why is it the same actors and actresses, especially actresses get nominated year in, year out? Then, you can virtually count on the same actress winning again!

This is what I think! Like the Oscars or the Emmy's...I don't put much stock in the ceremonies! Winning an Oscar depends on whose palm you grease the most. Wasn't Sharon Stone caught doing that one year? I can't imagine the Emmy's or Daytime Emmy's being much different!

Didn't Kristoff St. John (Neil on Y&R) win an award? Or maybe he was just nominated.
